How do you know this? Is it just something you heard and you parrot about suburbs in order to appear as an intellectual? It's a really trite sentiment.

Considering that you're married and have kids.
I didn't have the 3 options but I moved from Orlando to DFW just a year ago. It's great out here.

Dallas suburbs for the win. Southlake (where I live), Plano, Frisco, McKinney are all great with a mix of stuff to do and great schools

I live in Dallas and it is very bland. Not the best place for culture, not the worst place for kids.

The whole married with kids throws a wrench into things....
If single, Chicago or Boston would be awesome.
Because your not, I don't see much appeal of raising a family in either place, I'd prefer the better weather and lower cost of living in Dallas.

I'm biased because I live here, but Boston.
I'm not a fan of Dallas. Chicago is an amazing city, but the winter is BRUTAL. Makes Boston seem warm.
And Boston (and Massachusetts) is an educational Mecca, so the public schools here are fantastic. So with kids, that's a big plus
