Chicago..... SUCKS in the winter
Dallas...... SUCKS in the Summer
Boston...... Not as bad in the winter, amazing in Summer

Boston is your winner for the following reasons

1. Climate
2. You are only 2 hours from Skiing, NYC, maine, and Cape Cod
3. Incredible culture and history

Dallas, hands down.

Even if the promotion at the job doesn't work, you have opportunity to slide on to another career in DFW within the same field (for the most part).

Chicago is too cold, Boston is impossible to drive to/from work with crappy weather during the winter.

Those are three expensive cities. Are you going to be ballin'? Chicago, if so. Dallas otherwise.

What if you raise kids in Boston and they develop that accent? I could never live with myself.

I think I'd choose Dallas, and I'm not fond of Texas.

Chicago and Boston. Then Dallas.

This is, IMO, is the best of the three you are the type of person that can tolerate cold winters.

Chicago with Boston second and Dallas a very distant third. Dallas is L.A. without any of the positives.

Dallas. Boston and Chicago are too cold most of the year. Chicago is awesome as a single guy, but unaffordable for most family types to live the lifestyle that would make those winters worth it. Dallas, especially Fort Worth, offers the best possible family living.

I find the people in Boston to be less friendly....but it depends on your circle of course. It's a beautiful city as well.

I think Chicago is a better choice provided the OP can handle a mid western winter.

I'd probably put Boston at #1, then Dallas, then Chicago.
