I would never even consider moving to Dallas, so that would be out immediately. I'd take pay into consideration between the other two. I believe that Boston has a much higher cost of living

I agree with this.

If you're single, I'd choose Boston over Chicago.

Considering that you're married and have kids. So no I'm not going to live in a loft in Lincoln Park.
Man, married with a kid I would go

Dallas
Boston
Chicago

With no kids I would have said

Chicago
Boston
Dallas

Dallas, but only because I can't tolerate northern winters. It would be third on the list otherwise.

Dallas-if you are a baller you move the wife and kids into one of the Park cities. If you are not a baller then Rockwall or Rowlett.

Chicago by far the coolest

Dallas by far the most livable

Agree on PC, not on latter two suburbs.

You can go to Lake Highlands HS in Dallas proper but housing prices are going up a lot in LH and it's marginally less safe.

Boston

Big city with a small-town feel. Great public transportation. History, Arts, Sports, Food, Breweries and within a half days travel of many other awesome places.

I'd probably pick Boston... but maybe Dallas. Or Chicago. frick, idk, I don't want to pick any of them really

I think NY is the place for me on the east coast, and most of the west coast would be fine, too. But cheap COL would be nice in Dallas. But Dallas... it seems okay, but not the place for me.
