300 bottles of wine here. May make a serious dent in it. Then it’s on to tequila.

Me too. My wife's family is in SC and mine is in Louisiana. Not feeling a drive to either. We aren't in any evacuation zone so I suppose that's good.

This is Charley at this point right?

The comparisons are warranted. Ian is bigger and the damage will be more widespread, I think.

20 foot significant wave height.

Average of the highest 1/3 of the waves.

Individual waves could be 40+ feet.

Located about 65 miles due east of center of Ian right now.

Key West getting gusts of 55 to 60 mph 75 miles east of center.

I want to be here if a tree or something else happens at the house.

I don't understand this...what do you think you're gonna do when a tree destroys part of your home during a cat 4 hurricane?

The answer is, the same thing you would if you evacuated...nothing.

Got to make sure you are in your house when a giant tree comes crashing down into it.

I haven't been able to keep up with the thread today due to evacuating the downtown Tampa area and there is no way I can go back and read the last 50+ pages. Will someone just give me a quick understanding of what I can expect to happen to the downtown Tampa area regarding storm surge or anything else I would need to know based on the current info out there on Ian?
