Matthew/Irma sequel was not on my wishlist. :(

The eye of Irma missed me by a couple of miles. I had 2 Bismark palms planted a few months before Irma came through. Both ended up flat on the ground. 5 years of metal fence posts and ties later they look good, but are they ready for Ian?

It’s crazy that actual landfall is still roughly 24 hours away.

Surprisingly quiet on Fort Myers Beach. Whatever those dudes are doing there under the pier they should've done a day ago. That whole island might be submerged tomorrow.

I remember how comforting it was to have this thread during Ida. It was the only place I could get actual real-time updates from Mandeville and all over the state. It was invaluable.

Get a better idea for the next Track update at 11 Eastern/10 Central.
Englewood/Port Charlotte Direct Center hit maybe. Roughly 20 miles from Fort Myers

Wouldn’t that put Tampa/St. Pete in the worst quadrant of the storm?

Man, our guy that was kidnapped by his wife and taken to Disney is gonna be PISSED...on the inside, because he wouldn't dare upset her and show it on the outside.

No, east and south of it is what gets slammed. Brother and dad's houses likely fricked from my family.

Yeah we have evacuation starting at 6:00 am as the other poster said for zone A,B , and parts of F on St. John’s. I am not really feeling like moving inland and am not in any fear of storm surge or flooding. I want to be here if a tree or something else happens at the house. I suspect power will go out. They also have tended to have boil water for a few days after storms in the past.

If that path is correct Tampa bay will owe Charlotte Harbor dearly for taking that hit instead of the earlier projected path.

Can't be good. Tough to say how they have it ended up at the next point, depending what angle it takes...
