Dinner at Beef O'Bradys (The Villages); Coors drafts. I plead guilty to watching the first 3 selections of the NFL daft even though it was paid for by AB. ROLL TIDE!

New Orleans.

Once upon a time, New Orleans was a wonderful place to visit, and probably to live. My first visit to NO was in 1974, when I started working in BR after graduate school.

NO now? E. A. Poe summed it up: "Quoth the Raven: NEVER MORE!"
Right where we live - The Villages, Florida. Moved here after we both retired 18 years ago, and haven't looked back.

Salt Lake City is up there for me. I'm sure Switzerland and Japan surpass it from what I've heard.

I've been to all 3. Japan has to be #1 of all the places I've ever been to.

I've agree with almost all of your comments on the board, but I have to ask if you have data to substantiate this claim?

The OmniPundit, Doctorate, Chemistry and Engineering; Alabama; 1974.
For me, listening to the news while showering, shaving, and preparing/eating breakfast or dinner is much more descriptive of what I usually do than watching the news.

If there is something like the shootings yesterday, than I usually actually watch the news.

1956 Ford. Would you believe everyone'z favorite colors for everything (cars, clothes, etc.) was pink and charcoal?

All l could do about either vehicles or clothes was drool, while wearing jeans and driving a pre-WWII 1939 Dodge pickup.

My job interview lunch was at Don's in 1973. A few months later, when I returned to BR, My welcome luncheon was at the recently opened Ralph and Cacaos (sp?) in 1974.

Cortana

Before Cortana, there was a large, vegetated area to the N and E of where Cortana was built. Water soaked into that area, instead of flooding Broadmore subdivision.
Complaints? Most of the first month in Vietnam (March 1965) food was C-rations. Finally got our battery mess hall open; B rations for seamed like forever. No special meals; as battery commander, I ate the same food as the rest off the battery. I promise you, what they are complaining about is much better than B rations.
I've drove it one time. My father died in Russellville Alabama in 1979. I took the Trace home to Baton Rouge 44 years ago.

The war was over and there was massive economic growth. Very little societal turmoil. Huge advances in technology. Sounds like such a great time.

It actually was. I finished high school in 1956, at a small town in North Alabama. There were 96 of us in my senior class; very few of us are still alive.

According to the EIA’s latest report, by 2050, consumption of coal, natural gas and oil will still make up the majority of where Americans get their energy from.

Finally, a government report that I can believe in. Have the authors been fired as yet?
Bob Evans > Waffle House = Cracker Barrel >> McDonald's.
At 84, I expected to max out the questions, but I didn't. Along with several others, I never had a MySpace account, so my score is 1.
To enjoy my fiends and neighbors. Walk, play a little golf, and go to the fitness centers here in The Villages. I'll continue to read TD, and post occasionally.

In general, I'm still way too young to shut it down; I'm only 84 1/2.
