This is looking more and more like Irma in Jax/St. Aug. Tons of flooding issues.

I could actually see it even lower than 939 depending on when EWRC completes

You do know there are people reading this in the line of fire and their butts just puckered. The calm before the storm is the worst.

Seeing an eye wall replacement cycle on radar is awesome. It's really ramping up now. New eye wall almost completing the wraparound.

Usually the storms are in the open ocean and too far out from radar coverage during an EWRC.

UKMET also wants to dump a ton of rain, but further south of Tampa over Port Charlotte.

St.Augustine and Vilano Beach are probably preparing for the worst. Just sucks everytime they rebuild this happens.

Is this the first update showing a true "east" jog?

My concern is that the speed of this, with no signs of weakening, a low end cat 5 really isn't out of the question.

Maybe. It could just be a wobble due to the ERC process. You'll have those.

@FLBooGoTigs1 The family and I aren't too far from you. Down 210 in the Shearwater community. Stay safe!

Me either. Seeing the Irma damage, basically to the day a year into matthew rebuilding, made me sick. Really hoping my dad's old neighbor figured out how not to have the septic backflow into the house a 3rd time. Fun filled Matthew/Irma fact: 2 good treatments of ocean water will in fact rid your neighbor of bamboo.
