I'd be willing to say it's easily $500

Now do how much you’ve lost from the government stealing it.

My favorite way to "lose" money is to find it in my ski/winter jacket the next season. Its like free money. I don't ski anymore so that hasn't happened in a long time, but that was always fun.
I like to play cards and gamble with my family, so I've lost a lot of quarters.

Pick a city like Dallas, would you rather take $100,000 or all the misplaced and lost coins in public places in the city?
Which would be more? Is there more than 100k out there? A lot more? A lot less?
(Hypothetical assumes you could magically gather all the lost $$)

Easily a lot more. I never spend change…I just toss it in a tin when I empty my pockets at night. Every couple of years I roll it up and take it to the bank. It typically winds up being about a thousand bucks every year or two.

You know those "leave a penny, take a penny" holders beside the cash registers in every convenience store?
Has anybody ever wondered how much change is sitting in those things across America? Is it okay to just walk in and grab it all and then leave? I'm not sure, but I'm going to find out

I found $300 cash just sitting on a sidewalk once. I thought I was on one of those hidden camera videos.

The amount of money I've spent on dinner and drinks for females and got nothing in return could fund a small country.

Don't tell me you're one of those that just stuffs your dollar bills in your pocket. Please get a wallet.

Father Guido Sarduci (IYNYN) says when you get to heaven everything you lost is returned to you so you will find out then.

I remember reading some asinine number of how many gazillion dollars in pennies were lost.

What was a MiL worth when you played?
Asking, you know, for a friend.

Nowadays, I’m guessing most people don’t lose a lot of physical currency, but I bet the average person “loses” $100s per year on subscriptions they forget to cancel, unreemed rewards, gift cards rebates, etc.

I’ve often wondered how much wealth in the form of change and paper money is laying on the surface of earth

I left 500 Euros in a hotel room the day of my wedding...
