If our gulf invest closes that low off soon, it has a chance to make a run toward high end TS/maybe low end Cane. Better if it takes its sweet time. Also, the climate debate is tiresome.

Got some showers along the coast this morning. SELA may finally get some rain cooler temps before baking later this week.

You can see the "death ridge" clearly centered over Kansas City this morning in this sat. link.

I doubt that in modern times with computer guidance it has ever happened.

I’d like someone way smarter than myself to research the weather pattern to see if it coincides with what La. had way back in the 20s and 30s when record temperatures were recorded.

I’m almost 72 and while I’ve seen temperatures this high on occasion never for this long of a time.

And I’m grateful for it. 6 potential hurricanes out there and they’d all be predicted to the gulf without the heat dome.

Same.

We have endured the heat all summer. might as well stick around for another 8-10 weeks to get us through the season.

I don't think the Atlantic steering conditions are right for most of those to enter the gulf even without the pressure dome.

I'm still holding out that this is going to be a very quiet year for the GoM and we see lots of fish storms.

There’s no way to tell where they would go, if if they would even be there if there was an entirely different pattern; however, we know we are protected right now.

much better to deal with a dead lawn and flesh burning car seats than it is to deal with your insurance company

I find these experiences to be eerily similar to each other.
