All of the fishermen in the Laguna Madre are going to be happy to get some tropical water mixed in to re-energize the fishery. Looks to be making landfall around Port Mansfield.

Its like seeing the eye of a massive hurricane.
If this were January and you had the same setup, would we be freezing our asses off?

Emily died in the tropical Atlantic. But, we have another tropical storm forming in the Gulf of Mexico
Advisories on Potential Tropical Cyclone 09L are being written since the system will make landfall shortly.
Next name is Harold.
This will be a beneficial rain maker for South Texas and the Rio Grande valley. Lots of rain.
Large area of 2-4" or locally more along a path through South Texas from soon-to-be named Harold (09L).
All of this rainfall is free of charge courtesy of the Gulf of Mexico.

Franklin is a rainmaker for Haiti/DR then will meander out at sea for a while. Gert ain't much and is barely worthy of the name.

Looking out a little ways, shear profiles look decent over the basin for the next three weeks or so.
Hope we run out the clock.
