How long has it been taking to get a Passport lately once mailed in?

I did the renewal online on 6/28 and already have my passport. Came early last week. Why mail it in?

Got mine in 3-4 weeks. This was back in February or March.

Yeah, you can apply online too, dummy. It is going to be significantly faster than mailing in.

They tell you 6-8 weeks but the reality is that if you do it online, it is 2-3 weeks for both renewals and new passports.

I paid for the expedited version after mine had expired and got it in 3 weeks in June.

It only took 4 weeks for me to get one for the first time from mid-June to mid-July.

4-6 weeks when I did it last. Mine had expired but was within 5 years so mail-in for a new one.

It’s only 65 bucks for that but you have to have travel planned for within 14 days. I got mine in 2 hrs.

I did not pay to expedite the processing for the passport and still got a large passport book and card in 2 1/2 weeks. I went to the local post office after making an appointment online. I had my phot taken there as well. This was in Alabama.
