Firstly, what’s going on with the news caster hiring process? It’s already odd that the woman is overweight and unattractive, but she cannot even read from a script without making constant errors.
These now PE owned local stations are probably paying $15/hour. Notice they can't even provide proper studio lighting.
But Boomers will install their apps and sign up for notifications.

Live a healthy lifestyle or jump on a lifetime prescription drug subscription?
Obviously the lifetime payments to big pharma is the smart choice.

but I’m also not going to make the block to make sure that I’m parked in the correct direction for the couple hours every year that I’m street parked.
That goes to the second question. Does it need to be a law if people don't find it important?
If everyone is lazy here and there, picking and choosing which laws to follow, does that make society better or worse? I guess the people that litter just didn't feel like finding a trash can.

Where are they supposed to park, are there parking pads behind the houses?
They can park in the street but they are not parking in accordance with the law.
I mention my neighborhood but I see it everywhere around Acadiana.
ETA: Literally the first street view I picked on google maps in a 'fancy' neighborhood.

Street parking

My neighborhood is trashy and lots of people park on the street in front of their house. Last night I noticed over half were parked opposite the direction of travel.
Do you park illegally against the direction of travel?
If these type of laws are no longer enforced, why are they still on the books?

I wanted to see it, not a description. CBS has a video about this and didn't even show it.

What do you drive?
Curious how many complaining about gas prices are using a 7k lb vehicle to haul their 250 lb arse around.

It is low key diabolical.

That escalated slowly.
It is said in jest. Traditional websites and forums like TD are great.
Not a fan of these mega corps and tech bros sucking up all resources (land, water, power, chips, memory, etc) hoping to extract your money while also wanting to eliminate your job. We won't be able to run privacy respecting open LLM models on our own machines because the hardware will be too expensive.

If we don't have datacenters how will we post on Tigerdroppings all day?

I've been watching Takedown with Chris Hansen on YT recently. All of the predators are men. I'm guessing they don't catch women because it would be dangerous for a woman to enter a random house. A teacher operating in school where they are the powerful ones makes sense.

IMO things worked out just fine. We got the incumbent swamp rat out and now we have time to learn things(like in the OP) about the two choices remaining.
