As far as drugs go, alcohol is one of the most disgusting ones, which makes it even more bizarre it's legal.
If you drink a little you get a decent buzz that makes you feel decent and a little more sociable and relaxed, which is nice. But if you drink more than that, you get sloppy drunk, which is absolutely terrible. It leads to all kinds of bad stuff, which we see on the roads and in our society every single day. Then, to top it all off, you get a hangover which makes you feel like an absolute turd.
If this was a just world, weed would be legal and alcohol would be illegal, just as God wanted. Leave it to man to screw up the intentions of God.

10/10 people would rather be around a pothead than an alcoholic. Although, neither one is that great.
And are you in your 50s or 60s? Hell, you're probably older than that talking that way and having that opinion. It's ok, you've been propagandized to think "dope" is bad.
ETA - just look at the number of drunk drivers killing people every day. What a wonderful thing for society!

Make it legal but you can only use it within the confines of your house. Unlike alcohol, weed stinks from blocks away, and I don't want to smell it. You can stink up the inside of your own house, step outside with a lit joint and it should be legal to hurl bricks at you until scurry back inside or lose consciousness.

Because it is a food product and can be consumed for the taste without actually getting drunk. There is no other point to illicit drugs besides the high.

You think people are smoking weed and getting behind the wheel of a vehicle and losing all control of their senses? It just doesn't happen like that, that's not how weed works. Alcohol on the other hand...
I think both should be legal. It's absolutely stupid to have weed be illegal. The best excuse many people come with now is "oh the smell, think of the smell." That's how far the anti-weed folks have fallen because they've been proven wrong every step of the way. And to clarify, I know it stinks and I think people should be respectful of others, just as they should with cigarettes or anything else that might affect other people. Vapes and edibles are the way to go, IMO.
