OT OWEO moment but otherwise funny.

Went through a Selection course with a guy who would outrun everyone there and then stand around the finish line with a cigarette and smoke while cheering everyone to the finish line. He carried a single "throw down" cig and a bic lighter in a ziplock bag rolled up and tucked in the waistband of his PT shorts.

The instructors smoked the hell out of the entire group the first time when they saw him smoking. But he kept finishing first and it became a bit of a legend and they allowed it.

Turns out guy was a D1 track star in college although no one knew it from talking to him. One of the guys Googled him to find out.

Probably around 6:40 if my knees cooperate. First mile of a 5k I ran recently was 7:08 but that was way too fast of a split.

Not sure but I know I could do it without feeling the need to post about a mediocre mile time while admitting to being fat. BTW, I’m 6’1 just under 240, I’m pretty sure you and I are both fat.

In HS, I did it in 5:17. However, the last time I tried running a mile as fast as I can was about 5 years ago. I did it in 6:03. Currently training for a marathon (26.2 miles) in November.

9:30-10:30 for a mile

I mostly walk it because I’m out of shape, but I do sprint several times for about 10-20 seconds

At what age. Currently? I did 2.5 miles this morning at an average pace of around 8:30 per mile. Of course, I will be 50 in a couple months. When I wore a younger man's clothes that pace was a couple minutes per mile faster.

On a good day, about 7:30-7:45. Not bad for someone that’s 206 lbs.

I never ran at all, and a few weeks ago I ran a 5k in under 29 minutes just to impress this girl that ran it in like 33 minutes.
