Hit a 7:45 pace this morning for 3 miles. 6’0 235, not solid, but mostly muscle. If you can’t run under a 10 minute mile, you need to re-evaluate your life choices

..and the reason why these athletes are having longer careers is because they are exercising more and taking care of their bodies.

Danny McBride is a fatass.

Fastest ever was 5:13, but that was in HS and 30 years ago. Hit a 8:30 last month on a 2 mile run but usually try to keep 9ish.

I ran a half marathon in under 2 hours. That's about the best marker I have. I don't run short distance for speed, but I would like to think I could pound out a sub 6:30 mile if only running 1.

My best 5K time was last fall at a sub-7:30 pace.

Mile time is probably around 7:00 (was 6:55 last time I ran a timed one.)

I'm slower than that right now, but frick - it's hot outside.

I'm over 40 if that helps your math.

Got to where a buddy and myself could do 10 miles in 60 minutes for a 6 minute per mile pace, but that was eons ago. We were both young and fit in our 20's and the running craze was just getting started.

Now, fast forward 40+ years and with my bunged up knees after 3 surgeries, I'd be lucky to be able to get a good race-walk for 1 mile, much less run it.

I dont think many people took that quote as him as the role model to look at.

If it is just one mile, around 7:30. If it is a 3 mile pace, somewhere around 8:30-9:30.

I'd run it in under 5 minutes if I could run a lot faster.

Right now, at age 60, when my knee and tendinitis isn't bothering me, I average around 8:30-8:45 pace. I don't run for time anymore, just exercise. I don't feel the need to compare my mile times to what someone else is doing.

PR in high school was 4:35. I’ll sign autographs at sonic tonight

On a treadmill I’ve run a 5:00 several times this year but that’s way different than out on a track. Much easier when you’re just keeping up with the belt
