re: Considering a trip to NYC in 2019. Any advice? - Jp1LSU
Spring is my favorite time in NYC. Pleasant to cool weather, all of the flowering trees in Central Park. Nice enough weather to walk everywhere, early produce at the Union Square greenmarket....
I agree you can feel the city coming alive in spring when the weather is nice, it’s just ...
also: HEMP MJNA CBIS all looked great today
I sold my position in these names almost 6 years ago. Can’t believe they still getting people to believe it’s right around the corner. I knew they were pump and dumps, I just wanted to be in early and out early. ...

re: If your going on a vacation, do you base your hotel stay off ratings, name brand or price? - Jp1LSU
but the difference between a Best Western and a Ritz isn't that big as far as my enjoyment is concerned. I couldn’t disagree more. I understand we like to travel differently so I’m not saying you are wrong as it is a preference. But the amenities in a Ritz property can definitely add...

re: There are some major issues lurking in the US financial markets - Jp1LSU
I have had multiple people tell me over the past 6 years that they are professionals within the market and to get everything out as soon as possible. I sort of welcome another “buying” opportunity we saw 8 years ago. It kinda worked out for me, and while I’ve moved some things around I am mostly c...

re: Considering a trip to NYC in 2019. Any advice? - Jp1LSU
IMO, NYC is best during the Christmas holidays because I think NYC captures the holiday spirit better than any other major city. After that I like early fall because the weather is at its best. Too much rain in the spring, and while I have fond memories of NYC in the summer, its not the best first ...

re: If your going on a vacation, do you base your hotel stay off ratings, name brand or price? - Jp1LSU
When we travel, we love to eat and drink, and do a lot of research on the best places to go. So even if my hotel were to have free breakfast, there's a 99.9% chance we wouldn't take advantage of that and go out for breakfast instead. And I'd much rather go to a local brewery or bar for cockta...

re: If your going on a vacation, do you base your hotel stay off ratings, name brand or price? - Jp1LSU
Mostly location. After that amenities. Hotels have to offer room service, have a restaurant on property, and a late night bar of some kind. I hate coming back after a late dinner and nothing being open for a night cap. That being said I prefer high end hotels. ...

re: Can someone school me on cruises? - Jp1LSU
Some of the people saying go to an all inclusive probably think that going to a Sandel's place is being fancy. I think all inclusives are a horrible way to spend a vacation, but I’d sooner go to Sandals than a cruise, especially out of NOLA. Don’t care what cruiseline it is
I ...

re: Explain to me the desire to go to a ‘Dive Bar’??? - Jp1LSU
Where I grew up going out drinking underage was difficult even with a decent fake. Any place U-25 was pretty off limits, so it was either dive bars or upscale hotel lounges and they both had their appeal. The dive bars always had their regulars and old drunk bartenders who could barely read an ID if...

re: Best airport shuttle service in New York City? - Jp1LSU
The Long Island railroad is the best way to get to JFK from Penn station
You still have to take the air train from Jamaica station to JFK. No big deal when your young or traveling alone. Through in a travel weary family and mass transit gets harder. ...

re: Best airport shuttle service in New York City? - Jp1LSU
From the city to either airport, I find shuttle service to work the best. LaGuardia and JFK are hard by mass transportation. I usually just google and pick the one with the best quote. Never had a problem, but I couldn’t say which ones I used cause they were that non descript. ...

re: Vatican at night? - Jp1LSU
There’s a lot to pick through and we aren’t trying to see it all. We are going to the Vatican during the day through a 3rd party tour. We are doing the coliseum at night, and the capuchin crypt tour. Anyone have some restaurants they really liked in Rome? La Pergola in the Waldorf? Imago in the ...
