You posted a thread on TD asking about the “job market” in the most vague way possible and responded like a douche when others asked you to elaborate.

If this is how you are IRL, it probably doesn’t matter where you’re looking for work.

TBF even a lot of teenagers won't. Though working experience is (imo) important, why risk getting a bad grade on a test because some dumbass manager scheduled you to close the night before?

outside of cane's and chick fil a, who would want their teenager working at fast food resturant?

Especially when they can go work country club pool as a life guard for $18 an hour.

But you started a post seeking job market advice

If you transitioned into tech are you in software development and engineering, AI and data, cloud ops, cybersecurity and infrastructure, design and product/program management, support and operations? You know there are many posters who work in aforementioned that can help you if we know more about your situation.

Remember when workers during Covid had the upper hand and was flexing on how they could jump from job to job to get more money and how I said that this was temporary and the tide would turn shortly and then the employer would regain the power?

I am a engineer

is this a secret or something? Are you designing bridges or cooking meth?

I wouldn't hire you based on your inability to offer any sort of clear and concise answer to questions you yourself ask.

There’s something about your demeanor that really pisses me off. I hope you get fired and remain unemployed for the next 10 years

You sound like an engineer in the same way that a custodian is now titled as a Sanitation Engineer. You worked a bit and got into a role where you are stagnant and now want to look outside of your current company. You are giving vague answers because your qualifications, experience and results cannot be verified

The hiring process at large companies is currently managed by incompetent HR women. The process takes months and follows no logical order. If you have applied to a job posting, they may not even be looking to hire a candidate.

It's even worse; it's managed by incompetent HR women intermediated by AI.

Yeah I don't know that the job market is bad per se, but the current hiring practices of corporations is not great, which I know from working with the talent team at current role. Takes them forever to push reqs through and even longer to make it to hiring managers. The AI tools also can be awfully implemented and HR ladies only screen those that pass AI. We tested our own position before and were rejected because the req asked for highest level of education which for me and counterparts is a masters degree..well AI rejected the application because the bachelors degree was missing since masters was selected and bachelors degrees was a requirement
