Wonder if she showed other signs of mental instability or the sight of him with another woman just caused her to snap.

I'm guessing the former but you just never know.

Not his fault but I imagine he can't hear that right now.

Dads kill their children too. This isn't a female problem.

Easy access to social media for the troubled absolutely played a role in this . Yes, there have been mothers' killing children in the past before the internet (Susan Smith, e.g) but just the overall depression of some people can be greatly intensified reading social media posts, etc.

He had a pretty huge warning she lost her marbles when she shot at him... he should have acted on it.

This. She came to the bar to find him Sunday night. Where were the kids during this? Who were they with? I'm guessing she left them home asleep.

God forbid anything like this ever happens to me, but if it did, I'm not staying at the bar to wait for the cops. I'm hightailing it it back to the house before she does.

Without reading the thread I am sure someone will attribute more fault to the father than the wife who actually killed her own children. Whereas if the gender roles were reversed this would be understood to be evil and only hold the executioner responsible.

I think you misunderstand how utterly confused most men under 45 are with how their wives act. Crazy has been normalized for most of society.

Maybe he did.

He did, the cops that were interviewing him after the attempted shooting at the restaurant were the ones he informed once he got the text from his demon wife.

So a friend of mine has this neighbor. White woman, black dude. Two kids, 12 and 4. Not married of course but owns a home in his name (mortgage, close to being in forclosure). Dude has been in the army for a decade as an explosives guy with his dog, multiple deployments to Iraq.

Every time he goes over seas she has an affair, he pretends he doesn't know about it.

Well, this last time a few months after he comes back, something snaps in him and he finds her at Jody's apartment, double taps Jody and shoots her in the back while she's running away, immediately drives back to their home, soaks the interior of all the rooms with gas, sets it ablaze, then lays down in bed and shoots himself in the head.

Ol' girl survived by a hair, and lost a kidney in the process. I'm not saying she or her kids deserved any of that, but if she hadn't been fricking around on him there's a good chance none of that happens. Tragic as frick because now the kids have no dad, a mom who is physically and mentally fricked, and the house and property goes to HIS parents as closest kin since the kids are minors and nothing was in her name.

Happened in Elkhart, Indiana. You can look up the story if your interested. Can't remember the dude's last name but his first name was Adonis.

Terrible story. So is the OP story.

Common denominator is infidelity mixed up with crazy.

The murder/suicide takes nearly all the blame... but the cheater isn't blameless.
