You would need the entire cast of The Walking Dead to fight through the army of homeless zombies that surround that area. Then you have to hire an army of armed guards to protect against the locals of that area. If there is anything left in the budget, I would then consider a moat.

It’s in the attic- I too have been on a haunted tour of that mansion. It’s a BEAUTIFUL home, and it’s most definitely haunted. The LeBrun’s owned it when we toured and she had all kinds of stories about doors opening/closing, latches on the screen door latching when no one else was home, etc. The area is mostly unpopulated after business hours, unfortunately, there’s a large homeless/drug population. It seems that it’s an unspoken rule that you don’t mess with The Logan Mansion- it’s never been on the market long when it does come up for sale. I’d buy it if I didn’t have younger children. Some folks had it on Air B&B to help with restoration/upkeep

Back in the old days, if someone owned or wanted to buy a house like that but did not like the location, they would have it moved to another location. Used to happen all the time in Nola, and the houses that were moved were huge.

The area close to downtown Shreveport has many homes that are old and beautiful like this. On the northern strech of fairfield ave close to downtown has at least 20 houses like this and there's a couple near the Municipal Auditorium. All built in 1800s I believe. I would buy it in a heartbeat if my job was in Shreveport. Thankfully I have a job that I think can be phased into work from home (already 2 of 5 days are work from home) once I get 3 or so years here that I might just move back to Shreveport for the low cost of living. If you're not from here, you won't like it. If you're from here, you love it. It's very, very much a family town. Dallas or Houston, everyone is a stranger to everyone else, even amongst neighborhoods. Shreveport's just big enough and just small enough to have a great social circle for families. You def don't want to live there in your 20s. Early 30s, you want to go back. Just feel like the social connections between families are much much stronger there than other cities I've lived in. Other big cities are more isolated despite being larger.
