re: Expectation for 5 ton Package unit
Posted by jfw3535 on 8/22/26 at 9:07 am to BigPapiDoesItAgain
Was told by an AC guy recently that a 5 ton package starts at 15k and goes up from there. If you want higher SEER or variable speed, I think someone else’s quote of around 22k is probably in the neighborhood.

This place popped up on my FB feed. Wick open a new place? Did Diversion Pizza close or is this a 2nd restaurant? And more importantly, anybody been?
re: Foundation Repair in BTR

We had to have foundation repairs to our slab foundation about 15 years ago in a prior house. I got quotes from WCK along with 2 national companies. I remember the quote from WCK was substantially cheaper than the other 2. We ended up going with the lower of the 2 national companies b/c I was worried about the long term viability of a local company (WCK) given the lifetime warranties all 3 offered. In retrospect, I think we would have been better off going with WCK.

Pouring one out for my lost and misspent youth.

Those who worked in liquor stores or as bartenders, did you know who the alcoholics were?
Back in my drinking days, I would drive all over town to hit up different groceries stores to buy my booze b/c I went quite often and didn't want the folks at my nearby stores to know the true frequency of my alcohol purchases.
Glad those days are behind me.
At Play in the Fields of the Lord.
What is food club?
Agreed. Watching it right now. The whole premise is pretty ridiculous, but if you ignore that, it's fairly entertaining.
The sleestaks scared the bejesus out of me.
Never been on a cruise yet, but booked a Viking Christmas Markets river cruise for Christmas 2027 and very much looking forward to it,

Had one of those too. It was great. Took a taxi to Windsor Castle, toured the castle, had lunch in Windsor and got back to Heathrow with plenty of time left to get through security and get to our gate.
re: Which Law Firms do top LSU Law Students go to?

The firms you mentioned, if staying in state. V&E or one of the other BigLaw firms in Texas if they aren't staying in state.
Grilled roast beef and gruyere cheese sandwich on St Bruno sourdough bread. Love their bread for grilled sandwiches. It crisps up so well.
I agree with AOC about this.

Seville is probably one my favorite cities in the world. That wouldn't be a bad option. Easy 6ish hour train ride to Barcelona.
Went to Cocha before heading to see Jerry Seinfeld.
Leftover Johnny's pizza.
