As a fairly conservative guy who voted for him, I give him an F. Total buffoon.

Watched a few years ago and don’t understand the hype. Did not like at all.

Thanks for info. They told me to call once I get home about refunding difference in price for downgrade, but bc cancellation not their fault, they can’t compensate for extra day of hotel or other costs. Also got moved from 2 middle seats in very back of plane to aisle and middle seat in first row of coach. It’s not first class, but better than what I had.

I generally do Le Pav. Pretty decent hotel at decent prices right by SKC.

Thanks Cuse. Power came back on last night. Got rebooked for tomorrow, but got downgraded from first class to coach. At this point I’m just happy to have a flight home, although not looking forward to 10 hour transatlantic flight in a middle seat in coach.

I’m in Madrid right now. 13+ hours yesterday with no power, cell or internet. Flight home scheduled for today is cancelled. Hoping to get a flight tomorrow.

Stuck in Spain

In case you didn’t see the news, there was a multinational power outage yesterday affecting all of Spain, Portugal and Southern France. Power was out from 13+ hours. Supposed to fly home from my Madrid today, but my flights are cancelled. Trying to rebook flight home, but I am currently stuck in Spain. What a nightmare.

Since you’re down in Andalucía already, I imagine Granada might be on your list?

But don’t sleep on Cádiz which is a little over an hour south of Sevilla by train - truly a stunning and unique city.

Cádiz, Granada and San Sebastián are my three favorite small-medium cities in Spain.

Unfortunately not. Seville and Cordoba were the only Andalucía cities would could squeeze into this trip. Leaving today to finish our trip in Madrid. Next time we come to Spain, I would focus solely on the Andalucía area and hit all the places you suggested.

I would never leave if I was you. I was half joking half serious when I told the wife we should retire in Seville.

In Seville right now. Started our trip last week in Barcelona with a day trip to Girona. Got to Seville on Monday. Taking a day trip today to Cordoba and on to Madrid tomorrow for our final 4 days. Seville is hands down my favorite so far. Barcelona was just ok for me. Girona was very cool too, but Seville is AWESOME!!! Love everything about this place.

Had a fantastic meal at The Ordinary last time we were there. Have been to numerous of the other places recommended by others and all were good, but The Ordinary was definitely the stand out meal of our last trip.
Overall, I really enjoyed the show and will be on board to watch season 2, but it definitely hit every hot-button, woke topic over the course of the season - trannies/misgendering/deadnaming, toxic masculinity, racial inequities in health care, gays, gay marriage, interracial gay marriage, feminism, and more that I can't think of off the top of my head, but I remember mentally checking the boxes as each of these topics came up.

I understand that's the times we live in and should be expected, but it nevertheless can get a bit tedious, especially when it issue adds nothing to the story line, but is just another box the writers can check.

But that aside, I did enjoy the show. Was not familiar with Bryan Cranston's kid before this show, but really loved her quirky character, as well as the dorky dude that had to change his scrubs like 20 times.

Got the BBQ sampler from Offset BBQ today. Pint of all sides and some of all the meats. Very good BBQ.
Seems like a lot to try and cram into one trip.
Did you purposely misspell advice?
