They hold the most congressional seats at the moment but it will be short lived since Millennials out number them

Group think is for puthies. Add that to your list.
-Control what you control.
-Live by golden rules.
Income - investments = expenses.
-Invest early, often, (1+k)^n
-See/seize opportunity and create options for yourself (exercise them or not, have them)
-Invest in your health, skills and fun).
Most importantly…Enjoy life! It is short. Using it to whine is a travesty.

That math doesn't work! Gen X didn't raise Millenials. Maybe the earliest of Gen X did have some of the later Millenials, but generally speaking, Millenials weren't had or raised by Gen X.

I'm Gen X and this thread is hilarious to me, especially this quote:
The vast majority of my friends are too busy working and saving for retirement to give a shite about any of this. On top of that, I'm not raising your typical Gen Z little shits. I've made sure both my kids work hard, study hard, have jobs outside of school, and are focused on building their future in this ever-changing market.
Don't mistake many of us not giving a shite for "coming to sit at the table".
40% of every dollar I earn goes to some form of tax. I accepted decades ago that doing the right thing would frick me and my family, but it is still the right thing. I am making sure my kids understand this too, and that they have a want/work ethic that already is ahead of 90% of their friends.
I am happy I was born when I was and I am happy I won't live to see the bullshite my grandkids will have to deal with, mostly thanks to the constant whining and finger pointing of those who shite on people like myself.
PS - Downvote away. Like most things, I really don't give a frick if you disagree. I call it like I see it. So be it. It is what it is. Deal with it.

Yep. Groups that had their formative years in the 80’s and 90’s had close to the same childhoods. Y’all had better video games but other than that and a little better tech toward the end of the 90’s it was similar. Those groups seem like the last ones whose goal was to be successful enough to raise a family.
