—-No, 2 and that’s it

This BS lie about Black Cleo came from a book from the 80s titled,”Black Athena”

Its “research” was found by legit historians to be made up. So the lie was based on lies, but once the lie got into some people’s heads, the lie was perpetuated.

I think we should start a Crowdfunding effort to get a biopic of Hillary launched starring Viola Davis.

And what exactly do you think the Canaanites were? It’s basically interchangeable with Phonecian

WTF are you talking about. Canaan was in modern day Israel/Palestine/Syria.
Phonecia was in modern day Tunisia.

It's always nice to be reminded that we aren't quite North Korea or China just yet, since we're still allowed to hear other countries call us out on our bullshite.

Yeah, this Afro-Centrism revisionist history BS is getting ridiculous. Instead of appropriating every other cultures history and myths, why don't they promote their own history and myths? Instead of doing a story about black Cleopatra/Egyptians, do one on the Nubians or Kingdom of Kush. Why make Achilles black when you have Memnon? Why not tell the story of Mansa Musa instead of Bridgerton or some other made-up black European royalty/aristocracy? Maybe if they spent their time and effort promoting their history and mythology, instead of injecting themselves into others, more people would be aware of and able to appreciate theirs.

Yep, it's now known as Marseilles.

Carthage was a Phoenician colony. The homeland of the Phoenicians was near modern day Lebanon and Syria.

I don’t have Netflix, and I obviously won’t be watching, but artistic license is a playable card anytime. I mean, Moses didn’t look like Charleton Heston and Pharaoh Ramses didn’t look like Yul Brynner, but it was a good movie.

Given the extensive inbreeding...I'm surprised anyone wants to stake a claim to her.

While I don't completely agree with modern, mostly western, entertainment portraying historical people as radically different ethnicities, the problem is this show is presenting itself as at least part documentary. That means it should be held to a higher standard regarding authenticity.

You’ve got a small dick that no one is interested in going near, you little bitch.

Man, that was enlightening. Glad we could have that incredibly useful exchange

Since it’s not something that I’ve looked into at all, I didn’t know that.
