Just saw this announced. Starting Price $28,350. Start taking reservations in early 2027 and deliveries begin in later 2027,

I signed up for info out of curiosity, but at this price point it should be very popular. I have been seeing more F150 Lightening's on the road lately.

It's so great they don't even have a picture of it on the website. That's a really good sign I'm sure.

I guess. Just saw two at the Tesla Supercharger a couple weeks ago. I hadn't followed them so I don't know anything about them.

It’s named that because the line will be underwater from cradle to grave.

perfect name. In a few years Ford execs will not be able to fathom why no one wants to buy their mid-size EV truck, and they have to write-off billions

After a quick browse of that Ford website, I simply cannot fathom how anyone would be interested.

Saw a First Gen Two-Door Toyota Prado yesterday on the way to work.
Looks like an old boxy Mitsubishi/Dodge Raider.
Right hand drive.
Probably way cheaper to import and register here than buying anything new over here.

If this is what the final looks like, it's ugly and too low to the ground

1/2 ton and up EV trucks are not ready for prime time, mainly due to energy density. However, compact trucks are poised for massive sales in the fleet market alone. This is actually a segment that has pent-up demand.

This truck is going to do well in the commercial marketplace. Lots of companies with local dispatch needs will adopt this as they all can return back to the depot each night and recharge. Low maintenance on EV's and a cheap entry price will go a long way.

Does Fathom come with BlueCruise?

Every Ford Fathom will be BlueCruise Capable for hands-free highway driving.

I think I've lived too long.

Do they come with that built-in camera system that won't let you start or drive the car if it thinks you are impaired?

And it’s certainly not like anything you’re used to. Fathom is filled with happy surprises, including the price to own one. And its story begins now.

Filled with Happy Surprises, huh? With that kind of writing you know exactly who this is marketed to.
