Why not? ICE cars are expensive AF to maintain compared to EV.

I'll get slammed for this but it may not actually look that bad and if they really sell it in the 25k range.....this might actually work for me as my short distance every day driver.......I've got two other trucks to pull stuff with and Mrs. Wishin's SUV will handle the long trips so.....

I don't see how an electric vehicle sold for $28k new is going to depreciate any worse than a fricking $80k F150 bought new....

Yeah, engineers have never been known to be the smartest… right?

Just for the record, I wouldn’t buy one either. Tesla is so far ahead of everyone else in the EV market, i think I’ll just stick with my model Y. I just thought some people would find it interesting. I am intrigued about the price point though.

On a lighter note, Ford is offering their 302 v8 on more F150 trims.

That's funny because a family friend who was an early Tesla adopter and only owns Teslas now, is now complaining about the cost of getting them hauled for servicing since their concierge service dried up.

A good ICE vehicle is far from expensive to maintain too...some of you are drama queens.

I guess everything is anecdotal, but aside from periodic maintenance that adds up on ICE vehicles, I personally have spent almost $10k on engine repairs this calendar year alone, so I’m a little salty.

Don't know anything about concierge service, but I had an appointment about 2 hours away to have a tow hitch installed on my Model Y. I was taking off work for the trip and Tesla sent me a text through their app saying they had a tech available in the area and they could come to me if I wanted. They showed up at my office and added the hitch in the parking lot.

The only maintenance is adding washer fluid and rotating the tires until you reach 50k miles. That's easy enough to do myself (or go to a local tire shop to have the tires rotated).

We are probably only a year or two away from the car driving itself to the dealership for service and having it drive itself back to the house anyway.
