bullshite clickbait title. The situation is stupid but the grandmother made the 'sex offender' comment and the article used it in the headline even though no one else said anything about that.

Yep. Google the story and you discover that Gateway Pundit, at best, cherry-picked the parts of the story to report.

But, it had its intended effect: right wingers screaming about "libtards," pavlovianly.

Kid needs to be Chad... Gets those Dora pull ups moist. Girls can see autistic tendencies from 100 miles away

Glad this criminal is off the streets. Birthday party planners everywhere can breathe a sigh of relief.

Look, the sex offender thing seems overblown

But unfortunately, some of these kids with autism can be far too aggressive. There is a good chance at 5 years old he was making some kids very uncomfortable. I dont fault the autistic child though

If the school tried to contact the parents and have them come and help out, and the parents refused, this is a hard situation for the school

If they simply called authorities right away they are jackasses

The student, who has been publicly identified only by his first name, Nathan, was punished by East Ridge Elementary for being overly affectionate. The school even filed a report with the state

Meanwhile, you can riot and damage property with immunity, or even storm the streets in protest under the guise of antifa, assaulting freedom loving citizens on their way to and from work. Or even shut down public highways without even a ticket if black lives do indeed matter to you.

But this boy learns to be affectionate and love, likely from receiving it in his household, as do my kids, and he’s branded and put on a list by the state.

This is facking Infuriating.

Public schools are one of the most effective enemies the republic has. Do your part in defunding yours.

Yep. I had to have a very tense conversation with a parent who let their autistic kid "off the leash" at a birthday party and threw my 3 year old down, resulting in a concussion. Why "because he was too close to me".

Autistic kids have no physical trait where identifying them is easy, unlike kids with downs. If I would have known ahead of time, I could have kept my kid away to give little Autie the space he needed to avoid the situation.

The parents were somehow mad at me for them leaving their special needs kid unattended to become everyone else's problem.

This kid in Tenn doesn't know any better, but he needs to be separated from the normal kids. My wife had a kid in her Pre-K class that would routinely break out in screaming fits, assault other kids, and assault administration. They eventually had to very carefully document then expel the kid.

Special needs kids have no business around normal kids until they have proven with years of observation to be no threat to other kids. ETA: This kid shouldn't be considered a threat, but he belongs away from normal kids.

The parents need to work on teaching the child what is acceptable in society instead of being defensive. I get the feeling complaints have been filed by the parents of other kids in this ongoing situation and the school is trying to protect itself.

They called the kid a freaking sex offender. Obviously they need to go over boundaries, but the kid also has autism, so it's not like he/she is going to be an all-star at social cues.

If it was my kid who is austisic and labeled a sex offender, the school board would get sued and prove he intended sex

It’s hard to form an opinion on this without knowing the exact details, either way I think it is extremely irresponsible for adults to brand the kid as a “sex offender”.

School tried to address an issue with the kid that the teacher was having issues with interacting with other children and tried to get the parents help. Parents threw a fit about their special little butterfly isn’t doing anything wrong even though it bothers other children. Whoever wrote this article did a poor job reporting and catered to the idiocy of the parents.

Your kid can’t harass other children even if you think it’s acceptable. Not all kids want to be messed with that way. School looked to be doing things the right way to me by getting parents involved.

Yep. frick all that. I don’t care about the reason, if there is some kid who wont stop hugging, touching, and kissing other kids that don’t want to be touched, that is a problem and the problem should be removed.

I also seriously doubt this was a single instance. I am sure the school contacted the parents multiple times and they tried to tell the school it was okay behavior for an autistic kid.
