Poor Fiddy just didn't understand this part about Louisiana.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – In an evening post to Instagram, 50 Cent appears to be taking a step back from his All Roads Lead To Shreveport journey.

The post comes less than a month after the rapper, Curtis Jackson, was in town for a fireside chat, in an effort to tackle topics head-on and reinforce his commitment to the city.

During the fireside chat on June 17, 2026, Jackson made it clear he had full plans to execute planned business ventures, even hosting a ceremonial groundbreaking at the official site of what was set to be the home of his “G-Dome” venue.

On July 13, his Instagram shared a message that appeared to indicate that he may be pumping the breaks

quote:

“There are people in Shreveport that just don’t want things to get better. I only make deals that make sense I’m gonna have to pull back on The Red River! peace “

P-Diddy would do it.

If not in jail or gay.

I don’t even know what that means. But I heard 50 cent…

I’m not going to judge anyone for getting out of Louisiana.

That describes a lot of people in the USA.

Obama bailed out GM in 2008 and then let GM close its plant in Shreveport and ship those jobs to Mexico. That was a body blow Shreveport will never recover from.

Shreveport needs to be recruiting Elon Musk, not 50 Cent.

The speculation is that this is more targeted towards the Red River District and not the plan as a whole. He owns about 10 buildings/properties, so he’ll either sell those or continue to pay property taxes.

His lease of Millennium Studios still hasn’t been finalized because the building floods because nobody paid attention to drainage when they built the new Section 8 apartments to the north…fricking idiots

He's right about that. There is a tremendous amount of stupidity at all levels of government and culture in Shreveport

He's "negotiating" Trump style, publicly applying pressure to get what he wants. However, at least half of the Shreveport city council is indeed corrupt and want a cut. Other business owners in and around downtown want in on the grift. I don’t think this is new or unique to Shreveport, though. Culture behaves the same everywhere.

To be fair, if he thought he could build Tyler Perry Studios in Shreveport, it doesn’t work because of the state’s obtuse reactionary “related party transaction” rules.

I really believe Memphis would be a better candidate for 50 Cent to do this than Shreveport due to the zero state income tax, the city willing to work with Trump to lower crime with the national guard, Memphis BBQ, and the music tradition.
