Farmer snipes down rats who were causing havoc on his farm

My dad always told me a story about doing this when he was a kid.

He said when he and his 2 brothers were young they would snatch open the door of his grandpa's barn that held the feed and seed. The barn had doors on each end with a wall dividing the 2 halfs. They blast the rats that would run from the light with their BB guns, one year they all got .22s and off they went blasting away, he said they must have killed 100 rats in a weeks time.

Everything was fine until spring time when my great grandpa opened the the other end of the barn where he kept the oil and fuel drums for the tractors and farm trucks. My dad said there must have been 500 gallons of oil/fuel on the ground from the rounds going thru the wall and blasting the 55 gallon drums where he stored it.

I did this in my shed one time. Opened the door and laid down in the yard with a 22 for an hour until the fricker showed up. My wife thought I was crazy but I was able to get the hold out rat that wouldn't get in a trap.

That’s South Oz Hobby Hunter…

Deadeye on pigeons and rats with a sense of humor. Been subscribed to his channel for 3-4 years now. The farmers hire this guy to exterminate the pests.

That's really satisfying. I could watch this all day. When I was a kid, we'd kick the dumpster in our church's parking lot. The rats would run out and we'd hit them with rocks.

This video is pretty old as I've seen it several times over the years.

But it looks fun as shite. That would be an awesome way to kill an hour every so often.

I doubt he wants the nest scurrying, nor the property owner allowing the property to become a sieve.

Besides it’s more satisfying when his gear’s tuned in and he starts saying “lookie heyah, we have a bleedah”

LINK

This guy has squirrels that invade his backyard and wreck shite. So he sits on his patio with a badass airgun with serious optics and goes to town.

RJM Hunting Australia is a guy who hires out to farmers to use night vision to snipe rats, foxes, pigs, feral cats, hares, etc. He has some badass equipment.

He shows his rat shooting gear at the beginning of this video, but I embedded it to start with the action.
