Buying a fairly large amount of lumber. Called the sawmill, asked board foot pricing, said I'll call back in five minutes with total order.
Open chatgpt, enter boards and bf pricing. Tell it to calculate qty and list based off dimensions and 5% waste.
Call back with qty of each board under 2 minutes later. Girl says she'll call back with a quote... So I tell her, it's 4276.36. I'd like to pay.
Says she'll call back. That was 1 hour and 18 minutes ago.
If you're too lazy to make a spreadsheet, at least use AI.
So you're the guy that calls and expects an entire company to come to a halt until your question is answered.

Rance is a good kid. Its not the Tennessee BBQ that got him like that it is the good ole Alabama BBQ. he is from Glencoe. He transferred to Southside in 8th grade the to Brentwood last year.
My son is friends with him and played with him at Southside, his brother Jamin plays at Duke. He was born and bred Orange and Blue.

That is a horrible take on the situation. There are tons of anti-hunting groups lobbying for anti-hunting legislation any giving day.
As of February 2026, a proposed ballot measure known as Initiative Petition 28 (formerly IP13/IP3) is being pushed to ban most hunting, fishing, and livestock farming in Oregon by redefining animal cruelty laws to criminalize killing animals.
Initiative Petition 28 (IP28): Known as the "People for the Elimination of Animal Cruelty Exemptions Act," this proposal removes exemptions for hunting, fishing, and raising livestock, essentially making these activities criminal offenses, with exceptions for self-defense and veterinary care.

I don’t know how old you people are, but Cobain and Nirvana were one of the top bands in the world and Kurt was a megastar before his death.
I’m 45, I never said he didn’t make good music . I think he is overrated due to his death. I don’t think that is a controversial statement. Was he a megastar for a couple of years in the 90s? Sure. My point is that because of his death we never saw him fail in music like others have. He isn’t the only megastar who was great and on top of the world at one point. But others who has his kind of talent and success have lived long enough to become shells/parodies of themselves.

Ok, I wasn’t sure. I’ve hear it was all hunting state wide. You know how that goes though “believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see”.

I’m just wondering what the feeling in VA with the new gun law and proposed hunting bans.
I’m not sure how much I’ve read is true but I keep hearing that your new governor is pushing to ban hunting al together.
I’ve also read about Oregon trying to get a hunting ban on the ballot in November.

His death is the only reason his music was more than Puddle of Mudds’s.
I’ve had people lose their minds when I’ve said this about others as well.
There are several people who this could be said about. One example I always use is Keith Whitley, he was a great country singer but people act like he was the greatest ever. It is only because they die young and tragically. They never got to the point in their career where their music or movies bombed so they are worshipped.

I hope everything goes well for him.
My son has had a little interest from a couple of schools as well. he has had 2 coaches come to the school to talk with him and 1 of his teammates. What is something that you wish someone would have told you before you got too deep into this?

I’ve went thru it twice, with my oldest it wasn’t too bad. Like $125 extra a month until he started getting tickets. The day he turned 18 he got his own policy. My youngest turned 16 in feb last year, he increased out premium about $175 but he is a great driver with good grade discount.
My wife is a commercial insurance agent but before she wrote property and casualty (home and auto). About 15 years ago she had a lady come in with her 16 year old daughter, they had went to the local Ford dealership and bought the daughter a brand new Mustang GT. I don’t remember the exact cost but it was over $500 or $600 a month just for the insurance. My wife said they left with the daughter in tears as the mom had excluded the girl from the Mustang and put the girl only on the family mini van. She said a lot of insurance companies used to let you exclude kids from certain vehicles on a policy. According to her they don’t let you do that anymore and normally rate the riskiest driver on the most expensive vehicle.
