That’s a lot of words when they could have just said male author was married to whore female author.

He left the whore. Good on him.

Respectfully disagree. So does the science, to say little of the religious reasons because we've all gone over that ad nauseum.

Good for him but also sheesh for never even getting a whiff there was something going on.

Her friends would read about her slaying in the detectives memoir.

I vividly recall the moment I confronted her. She was in the kitchen, filling hummingbird feeders with sugar water. I read the reviews aloud. She turned from her task and said she loved me. She said the affair meant nothing, that it was a fling.
Obviously, her marriage meant nothing as well.
I dont understand people who hurt the ones that they are supposed to love and protect.

Since she was an author. I can tell you how he should have recovered.

Surely the dude would have some sense of another guy railing his wife for 15 years? I want to feel sorry for him but man.
It was her editor. They would have had a reason to stay in the same hotel for book related events on the road

Maria Flook has always been a deeply troubled woman with a really effed up past:
This poor chump sounds like a sensitive soul that thought he was rescuing her, when he was probably a mark all along.

Flook's older sister, Karen, 24 and a former child prostitute, discovers that Flook, a promiscuous 22-year-old pill addict and single mother, is applying to M.F.A. programs. Karen turns to her little sister and poses a harsh question: "You lead a double life, you know that? Which part is bullshite?"

Same hotel =\= fricking each other for 15 years. Come on man, huge difference. If she’s getting the D from some other dude for that long there’s definitely other signs.

He should have known better than to waste his time by reading shite written by a female.

15 years and no clue?
Not buying it. Total bullshite.

Working authors travel a lot. Travel can cover a lot of fricking around as long as the other party is complicit and keeps their mouth shut. This is probably how she pulled it off for 15 years.

Not sure what's so difficult to understand. People cheat on their spouses all the time.
Though, I do find it strange that she decided to write a tell-all book while still married. That's not only disrespectful, but pretty freaking heartless.

Evidently, she gives two chits about her husband (and lover). She seems to love herself a lot, though.
Ruined love / lives.
