I’m well aware that it’s the norm for players to move on once they retire. Hell, there are a fair amount of the active roster that reside in a condo during the season and then move back out to either coast in the off season. It’s not an indictment on the city, it’s just the norm in pro sports. There are some people that had no idea that they weren’t living uptown year round.

My feelings as well.

Anyone that expected Drew and Brit to live in nola full time, send their kids to Newman full time, Drew to run for mayor, or move in to the Four Seasons and sell their house on Audubon St, etc....are fricking morons.

Drew has a shitload of investments in this city, as well as the Brees Foundation along with other projects he’s working on such as the new turf football/baseball sports complex at the Lusher campus. The only one of its kind that’s going to be right in the middle of Uptown. He’s definitely 110% all in as far as giving back to nola.

However, he and his wife and kids will be “living” elsewhere

I don't think there are enough black people in Austin for him to pander to.

Hell I wouldn’t even live there if I were a Saints player. I’d get a beach house in BSL and commute.

Well, I avoid the latter but I am from New Orleans and have worn a fedora on occasion. That said, I left New Orleans to escape the rampant crime and corruption and to live a more normal life...in Las Vegas.

Let THAT sink in.

Probably moving to the north shore now that he doesn’t have to commute.

Way better to raise his kids.

The answer is right in front of y’all

He bought an expensive condo...... in New Orleans..... downtown..... far from schools

He has a HOUSE in San Diego.

You don’t raise a family in a condo.

He gone

That is probably why he bought that condo at the Four Seasons. Comes in from time to time to visit friends and attend events, then goes back to his real home.

I really hope he runs for mayor of NOLA one day. He would win in a landslide and would actually help the city.

1. He ain’t running for any office in Louisiana
2. You don’t know Nola politics if you think that would happen.
