Does your work dress up for Halloween? And if so, do you participate?

I am not one to dress up for Halloween unless my kids beg me to. This year I decided to participate in my work dress up day today. I am the legendary Dwight Shrute. I have gotten some good laughs thus far. What are you ladies and gents dressed up as today?

No idea if people are dressing up this year. Guess I’ll find out shortly.

I have a Halloween blazer from a recent Halloween themed vacation that I'm wearing in lieu of a costume. I've dressed up in prior years though, Mario for example. Nothing too crazy.

I go as Steve Buscemi every year.

We do. We have multiple offices so each office kind of does a group theme. We always choose something easy to do so it doesn’t take much effort on my part.

My first Halloween in the new office. They don’t do dress up here. Guess I should have thought that through before I came in today dressed up as a Jedi Knight. Gonna be a long day.

Stephen Hawking would be more appropriate

Good God, NO. We are adults at work. If you want to costume during the daytime, move to New Orleans.

One company I worked at was big on this. Some costumes were very eleborate. They went all out. I did not participate.

I just wear a saints shirt and go as a saints fan. If they are playing bad (most of the time), I'll wear a paper bag on my head for the obligatory Halloween costume picture.

There’s an office wide costume contest. I think the winner gets a gift card and an extra day of PTO.
I do not participate.

No adult male should ever wear a Halloween costume to work. This country used to have standards. Jesus.

No. It’s never a good situation if you have to code a child dressed as a pumpkin or something.

At one of my previous jobs they went all out on Halloween. One of the two owners was big into it and they did contests for best costume, scariest costume, funniest etc.
I got two of the girls I worked with to dress up as Playboy Bunnies and I dressed up as Hefner. Ordered a velvet looking smoking jacket, had a pipe, and sprayed my hair to make it white. Then I printed off a Viagra logo and taped it to a big white medicine bottle. They had pink bunny ears and the cottontail.

I had an assistant once who had a crazy mom. Every year, her mom would get a professional level Halloween costume and makeup done, and come to wherever her daughter was working and hand out candy to everyone in the building while staying in character.
My assistant said her mom had been doing it for 20 years and she gave up trying to stop her a long time ago.
It was usually pretty hysterical for the three years she worked with us.

I always dress as the HR manager. Then I walk around and talk to people about how their words, actions, and costumes can be hurtful to other people.

I'm dressed as an office worker. A dying breed in the age of AI.
