People who burn pop corn and warm fish in a microwave are the devil! You can’t get that smell out of the microwave!

This.. I've never reheated fish before. Ever.

I do not trust reheated seafood.... at all.

Who the hell reheats seafood first of all? That's just nasty, and the portions are typically such that there shouldn't be leftovers. That notwithstanding......in a microwave? Scum of the Earth. This is why we can't have nice things.

When we want to harvest a catfish pond we have to take fish samples to the processor for flavor check before they will put us on schedule, as the fat in catfish meat can absorb bad flavors from it’s environment such as blue green algae or muddy taste from the water. If you maintain poor water quality in your ponds you will have a hard time getting your fish on flavor in order to harvest.

To check the flavor, a plant employee takes your fish and pops it in microwave with no seasoning or anything just raw fish. Chew it up and spit it out, record the flavor. Needless to say the flavor test room smells awful. So the guy in OP was justified

If you want to reheat fish, the air fryer is far better. Yeah, it takes a few more minutes, but the result is fish that doesn’t taste and feel like it’s leftover nuked fish.

I was interviewing a guy for a bench tech position in my small company. His skill was obvious and he would be a really good hire, I made hi a pretty good offer. He said he would take the job on one condition, "if anyone makes microwave popcorn, I leave until the office can be aired out".

He said he divorced his wife because she loved microwave popcorn and ate it every day. He hated the smell so much he could start gagging and getting sick if he smelled it. Fortunately, of the other 5 techs, no one had every put popcorn in the microwave.

He died a few years are, not from smelling microwave popcorn, but he was a great employee.

I feel like I’m missing some kind of gene or something because so many people are repulsed by popcorn smell; and I’m just not. Even if burnt. I don’t want it burnt, but the smell isn’t a huge deal to me.

Years ago I worked where some Filipinos did too. They would gather in break room and heat things up in the microwave to share. The smell was staggering

We talking goldfish or the more expensive ones? I’m thinking it would probably be a similar outcome.

I agree with don't bring fish to work to warm up. My bad microwave experience was someone put a corn dog in the microwave and warmed it up far too long. I think they walked off and forgot to check on it or watch it. Stunk up the whole office.
