Neither of us in the mood today. Usually just some flowers or candy. No prix fixe rip-off amateur dinners.

Cards only. It’s understood between us. My idea and actually can’t believe she went along with it.

We didn’t do much for Valentines until after the kids grew up; just wasn’t as much disposable income. This year he got me flowers, a balloon and strawberries. I got him a cookie and I’m going to shovel snow. I started that tradition a few years ago, but should have stipulated temps; wind chill is -17.

We get each other and our daughters small gifts. I'll make a nice dinner tonight.

I'm about to make "rose pizzas" with my daughters for lunch.

I don't know if that is "doing the while V-Day" thing, but its something.

People love to puff their chest and tell you how V-Day is nothing but a fabricated holiday to make money, but will get mad if you say the same thing about Christmas. It's weird.

Nope

Eta: I did go do a nasty incision and drainage on a patient of hers today so she didn't have to. That's a pretty good gift I think.

I wouldn't want to be with someone who takes Valentine's Day seriously. Such a dumb holiday.

Yes and no, I guess.

We do celebrate it with a nice meal at home and usually get each other a card or flowers, but we do that pretty much every weekend if he's not working (minus the card) anyway so it isn't that unusual.

We don't do gifts, but to be fair, we often don't do birthday/Christmas gifts either.

I think it is weird the people who are proud they don't do Valentine's Day and proceed to shite on those that do. We don't go out for dinner because we hate going out during peak times, but I certainly hold no judgment at those who do.

We don’t do much. But I did get her a dozen roses at Rouses for $15.99 this morning. She was surprised and happy.

NO.

The only reason we "do" Valentine's Day is because it's our daughter's birthday ... it took her a while to understand why her brothers got a small "something" on HER day. I've never known ANYONE to love their birthday as much as this girl does.

We do stuff for each other pretty regularly so it honestly just feels like another day. He ordered a nice charcuterie board to share tomorrow when the kid isn’t here. I got him and the kid Valentine themed donuts from a local place yesterday for breakfast.

I guess. We banged it out this morning then she took me to Chinatown for a foot massage and killer Asian food. I got her a card and flowers.

On the couch napping now. Does that count or not?

I go all out for my sister and my niece. Today they each got a bouquet of flowers, sister got a Barnes and Noble gift card, niece got a Target gift card and niece got a teddy bear. Both got some chocolate.

BIL sucks and I know he won’t do anything for them. So I make sure they have a good one.

Negative. After 43 years it's no big deal. We were in Albertsons earlier this week and passed by the V cards. I picked one out and showed it to her. I told her happy valentines day .She laughed, read it and put it back. Done!
