You are right. The WWII in full color documentary made me empathetic for all impacted as well. Caring about the innocent people caught in the crossfire is something that will never cause me shame....

A few thoughts...
You are very young (for renal failure). Long term dialysis is death procrastinated. You only have so many access options for a dialysis catheter and eventually you run out.
