Best day of year! Don't have to worry about Christmas for another 364 days. Took down the outside lights this morning and have to hit the road tomorrow to visit my wife's relatives for two days with the grand kids and then I'm free.
It's interesting how Tiger fans from different eras see things differently. Those memories of great games in the 50s, 60s, and 70s may have much more meaning to those Tigers than 2011 simply because it was their time during their life. Sure 2011 was a painful pill to swallow and it still irks me today, but for the older Tigers there were other great games that are embedded in their memories as well. Those are the stories that you pass down to your grand children.
LSU beats Ole Miss in '69 they go undefeated and play for the national championship.

1979 LSU vs. USC 17-12
1970 LSU Notre Dame 3-0
1969 LSU Ole Miss 26-23
2011 LSU Alabama 21-0
As a retired speech teacher I feel your pain. My go to was when my students would speak to me and use five or six likes at a time, I would ask them to repeat the question because all I heard were 6 likes. After a while they got the message and thought about what they were going to say before they said it. The way they say like is used as a filler word.

To be honest I'm not sure this is such a good thing. Suppose Ole Miss goes on a hot run then you've got your entire offensive staff for next year hanging out in Oxford for over a month instead of being in Baton Rouge working with our team for next season.
Sure Lane is a great recruiter, but his assistants do a lot of the leg work as well and the Portal is going to be vital for LSU for next season.
I need to know before I coach the bowl game.
I'm 70 and have followed the Tigers since 1964. I had season tickets for 14 years during the 2000s but gave them up when the traveling and traffic just became to much. The last couple of years, especially with NIL has left a sour taste in my mouth and I've really lost interest in college football in general.
However, the hiring of Kiffin has regenerated my interest and I am actually looking forward to next season and hoping the fire inside me is a flame thrower.

So is Lane keeping Frank Wilson?

I know Kiffin is bringing most of his offensive staff, but does he leave room for Wilson as a recruiter, if not running back coach?

Let's hope that he doesn't get buyer's remorse in the morning and backs out. Like he said this is one of those times when you have to make a decision quick and move on without spending four months planning. I'll feel better after the press conference tomorrow.
When a player is signed he must stay at the university for two years. After the second year he has one free transfer. After that you have to sit a year. NIL money is at the player's ability to perform and earn according to his skill set.
I was there as well. Revenge was the biggest factor. The previous year LSU lost 3-0 to Notre Dame in South Bend on a phantom interference call late in the game that set up the winning field goal.
The Prince Murat Inn on Nicholson had a great oyster bar back in the 70s. My father and I stayed there whenever we came down for LSU football games.
Don't ask my why, but I can still vividly remember standing in our front yard with all our neighbors watching Sputnik going across the sky back in 1957. I was a little over two year old at the time, but during the Cold War that was a scary time.
The next big event was probably JFK's assassination.

No need to buy a ticket. People will be giving them away just before kickoff. With an early start you won't have to worry too much about getting shot either.

We lost our Stella Saturday after 13 years of unconditional love. My heart still aches today. Sorry for your loss.
Better add hot sauce to the equation. Sandwich along with chips while dipping. Then chips and sauce after sandwich is gone.
LSU never shows up for an early game, much less a road early game. I pointed to this game before the season started that LSU would lose in Nashville. I stick to my guns on this one. Hope I'm wrong.
