It's a new week and all focus goes towards Texas A&M. One loss to Ole Miss is not going to define this season. Hopefully we get another crack at them in the playoffs. Stay positive and move forward. I know the team will.

LSU will play a full 60 minutes every game this season and will not take a knee at the end to run out the clock whether they are up by 10 or 40. Pour it on to everyone of those fricking teams and let them remember forever the night they played the Tigers. Run it up Lane!

I was a freshman at Byrd in 1969 and remembering having to make the choice. It was the right one. One thing about the 1973 season, Captain Shreve and Airline were great that year, but Byrd went 8-2 with the only losses to Shreve and Airline, and sat at home for the playoffs. That wouldn't have happened by today's rules,

I'm 71 and healthy, but there are times that I see people on TV that are my same age and look like there are 91. Every now and then I have to ask my wife, "Do I look that old?" She reassures me that I don't, but then I don't know if she's telling the truth or just trying to make me feel better about myself. Either way I'm still here and happy and looking forward to another LSU football season!

I care less and less as the years go by. Because of what college football has turned into I no longer feel the connection to the players or the coaches. Sure, I will continue to watch on Saturdays, but the results no longer affect me the way they used too. A win, I'm happy. A loss, I shrug my shoulders and move on. My money no longer goes to season tickets. Matter of fact, after I gave up my season tickets I haven't been back to a game in seven years. Recliner, big screen TV and air conditioning works just fine for me.

Typical Burns on the final day. Fades at the end and still collects $700,000. Not a bad deal for a guy with zero major wins in his career. Just keep chugging along and finish in the top 10-15 each week and bank a wad of money.

To solve the problem of leftover chicken for trash cans put the leftovers in a ziplock freezer bag and put it in the freezer until garbage pickup day. Then put it in the outside trash can. Keeps the smell and flies down to a minimum.
