Laid to Rest

Today we had to euthanize our pet cat of 16 years. My wife held her and they held each other during the procedure. It amazes me how our pets have total trust in us and know we will make the right decision for them. It broke my heart watching them in her final moments but knowing we made the right ch...
Say what you want about Wade, but as both an LSU and McNeese fan this past season in Lake Charles was amazing. Wade literally brought the people of SW La. together for a common cause and it resulted in sellout after sellout. Hopefully he will return for another year and has said as much on his weekl...
Been together for 45 years and have definitely been through the ups and downs throughout the years. One thing has remained constant and that is our love for each other and our commitment to make things workout. We now enjoy our three grand kids and have our fourth on the way. Retirement has opened n...

As a former speech teacher I'd have to say they did a pretty decent job on the broadcast. My biggest critique would be the color man's constant use of um after every sentence. After a while that seems to be the only thing I heard. He's learning and he'll clean it up....
Been married 45 years. Just in the last year I started sleeping in another room because of her snoring and getting pushed off the bed by the dog. Now the dog alternates sleeping with each of us and I get a fairly good nights sleep four times a week....
The coach also told him go to the back and no more reps. Also told him that NFL coaches aren’t interested in players that can’t control their temper. They bleeped the coach about 5 times while he reamed Jefferson....
Senior Bowl practice on ESPn. Jefferson just ripped the helmet off the opposing offensive lineman and got pulled from practice and got lectured live....
Was listening to weather warning showing a tornado on the ground heading straight for us. Had a construction crew working outside my house. Ran outside and got them inside. The tornado went over my house a 30 seconds later and took the roof off my neighbors house across the street....
You need to move to
That's the question. Where do you go to get away or get to the culture that you had growing up that included respect and manners as well as English....
I swear every where I go all I hear is Spanish. Whether it's at the grocery store, Home Depot, Walmart or pharmacies it's all around me. The sad part is that it's only going to get worse if sleepy Joe gets reelected....
The Rat Pack and have my father join us....

As much as I hate Bama I have to respect Nick for what he did for LSU. He’s the best and I hope he enjoys his retirement. He’s earned it....
Just out of curiosity I wonder how much our of state tax dollars are being spent on this inauguration BS....

I’m 68 about to turn 69 and since my twenty’s have had no desire to kill any animal. People have asked me to duck hunt and deer hunt and to me that’s a hard no. When people post their pictures of deer kills I’m not impressed at all. It’s just not me. To each their own....
What we have is apples and oranges. Coaches are professionals in their field and have gone to school to earn the right to persue their profession. Athletes are students that are still learning their professional futures and receive benefits (scholarships, room and board, publicity, tutoring etc.). T...
Back in the 1970s they used to bring Mike around the state. I remember them bringing him to Shreveport and setting him up in some parking lot so people could go see him and take pictures....

I've toned it down over a 35 year coaching career. I know I could have written a book for what I said under my breath, Now, with grand kids, I;m pretty tight lipped. The only exception is on the golf course and that speaks for itself....
