We don't. We agreed early on that it was all just for show and for companies to make money selling chocolate, flowers, and cards. Beyond just saying, "Happy Valentine's Day," we simply treat it like any other day. I have friends that feel the need to do a lot of stuff. I don't understand it, especially after you've been married a few years.

We do cards, a nice dinner then kick back with a good movie.

Our tradition has always been to order takeout and watch a black-and-white movie on the couch. The last couple of years she's been inexplicably buying gifts, though, which means I usually have to scramble to buy a gift.

Been married 11 years. I still buy flowers and will give something small like chocolates, but nothing over the top anymore. We went out for dinner last night, but would have done so anyway even if it wasn't Valentine's weekend. Still, we treated is as a "Valentine's Dinner" with bottle of wine, etc.

Also, no matter what she says, she STILL wants some kind of pomp and circumstance for Valentine's Day...even if she doesn't complain when you don't deliver.

Big jewelry day for us. I’m dazzling Mrs. Allen with a tennis bracelet from Tiffany this year.

She usually gets me either a Patek or a Rolex.

We always celebrate on Saturday’s since we are both off of work and we eat out or make dinner at the house.

Usually we go to parades instead, but Toya ruined that this year.

It’s not worth the risk to completely blow it off.

I have a standing tradition, get her 2 doz yellow roses, cook her breakfast, and dinner @ Ruth’s Chris. Current weather considered, tonight we’ll cook some prime steaks, cream cheese mashed potatoes, and a nice cab...

Typically we do, this year we have a kid who was potentially exposed in daycare and a 3 month old.

It's takeout and sackboy for us.

Live a little. No harm in a romantic dinner or a $10 flower bouquets from Costco.

Not really, that's a man made holiday. I did tell her Happy Valentines day this morning though. I think its more for Dating people trying to get someone to go steady with them.
