Not to trying to be the conspiracy theory guy, but it almost seems to be part of a bigger plan. The movie Idiocracy comes to mind.

The second definition is supposed to be a subset of the first. We’ve completely lost sight of the first definition. In many cases, this is retrievable. But in many, it’s not.

To answer your question more directly, American society is a Christian society that tolerates competing ideologies to fault.

If you throw away the tools and materials you used to build the house, you lose the ability to maintain it. But, in our case, we have also invited a ton of squatters into the house- many of whom are unironically “anti-house” and are laughing in our faces as they tear the house up while we argue about who lost the hammer. Good times.

When I see the amount of third world shithole people we willingly import and allow to continue to stay here, I say hardly.
