This is like those school rankings that surprise everyone and then when you dig into it , it heavily rewards things like diversity and social programs.

inclusiveness

Another left wing bs article. Like the ones that put a negative mark on states like NH, Maine and Utah for their lack of ‘culcha’

Umm that’s what makes these states rank high. Less culcha, way lower crime rate. Are the people that write these articles to stupid to not see the correlation?

There are only two options:

1) They are too stupid to put 2 and 2 together
2) They know that it's bullshite but they are continuing to push the progressive narrative anyway

There is no other option, and I think it's most likely #2.

Tennessee is gorgeous. You're telling me you'd prefer New Mexico or North Dakota or New Jersey to Tennessee?

Shhhhh! Of course they are. North Dakota has such a nice climate. Seldom gets above 85 degrees and the humidity is low in both states. And all those beautiful rocks in New Mexico.

The study specifically cites legislation limiting the rights of the LGBTQ+ population

I am supposed to believe that TN went out of their way to pass laws that specifically limits any particular group of people's rights. Or, is it more along the lines of they don't discriminate to the rest of the population by catering to a specific group?

4: Utah (87 out of 265)

3: Indiana (73 out of 265)

2: Texas (72 out of 265)

1: Tennessee (61 out of 265)

That is what they want you to believe, but then watch them fumble to answer when you ask what rights, specifically, have been limited for whom, again...specifically.

Oddly then, North Carolina, Texas, and Florida scored high on many metrics. Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Alabama were always near the bottom.

NC TX and FL generally aren’t considered Deep South the way Arkansas Mississippi and Louisiana are.

What makes life in Tennessee so bad?

Memphis

I was going to say that this study found that the battle to not queer out the kids and Memphis make this state the worst in the country for quality of life. For conservatives who don't want to go to Memphis, it is a great state everywhere else.

The crime rate in Tennessee has long dragged the state's reputation down in the CNBC poll. In 2023, the most recent year of data from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, there were 43,613 offenses of violent crimes, including more than 700 murders.

For every 100,000 people, there were 628 crimes in 2023. That's 67.8% higher than the national average, according to USA Facts, a nonprofit organization specializing in government data accessibility.
That’s a lot of words to avoid saying “Memphis sucks!”.
