We should spend money on a vet guard and that’s it. You want to spend money on a tight end when we already paying JJ top 12 te money?
We need to trade down some and get as many top 100 picks as possible.
Drafting Sanker, Riley, Stutsman type players in the mid rounds and not buying expensive free agents is how u get out of this mess.

Lots of credit card bills still coming up due. Even with these older guys coming off the books. Loomis really made a mess. He can create room for free agents, but it’ll be more of the same extending players already on contract to lessen the blow. It’s what he’s been doing for years now.

I’m not saying purposely tanking. I’m just saying when the season hits next year, it’s an entirely new year. What we do now won’t matter. Shough can still develop and we not win games.
All those years we win games to close out the season meant absolutely nothing the following year. The team was still bad and Allen got fired.

Not at all. Go look at the draft threads. His me first, look at me attitude is not someone I want leading the team. But he has talent, and was a good gamble for the 5th round. That’s all I’m saying. Ward has been struggling all year.
Ward has only had a qb rating of over 90 twice starting all season. Sanders has averaged over that number in his three starts.

I didn’t want anything to do with Sanders but I said after the draft I woulda preferred taking him in the 5th to where we took Shough at in the top 40. That’s mostly b/c this team had to many holes and needed higher top end talent.
Hard to argue they didn’t get great value for a 5th rounder.

You sure? We were dead last in dead money on the cap for next year until the jets had a fire sale at the trade deadline.
Now we are 2nd to last, but the jets have 100 million in cap space while we have 8 million. We still near the very bottom of the league in cap space.
