Is that Trevor Penning in the top right?

We really need to pay an OG this offseason and those contracts will be 15-20mil so one or two of those moves may be worth it.

I looked at the fa list, there are no guards hitting free agency worth that. The best is Vera Tucker and he’s coming off a season ending injury and the jets have over 100 million in cap room.

Gonna have to draft one in the 2nd or third…

Please tell me this guy isn’t that big of an idiot. Of course the conference will back its member over a non member.
Don’t like it, join in football and shut up.
What a dumass.

Standing with and supporting a racist lady who is famous for no reason other than being racist is incredibly sad. If you agree with her, then you are pathetic.

Tell us again how many people stood up for, made excuses and donated money to that black kid that pulled out a knife and stabbed the unarmed white kid in Dallas.

The world is full of racist.

Who? What Vet Guard and for what type of contract?

Any player that has a pulse and started before will be better than Ruiz….

He is a rookie, but they pulled up the chart during the game. Hes older than a 1/3 of staring qbs in the league.

Purdy has 4 years starting in the league already and is still younger.

We didn’t have a rookie qb starting in those years with a rookie head coach. Shough putting it together and winning absolutely matters. Sorry about your mocks.

Got me there. Maye won 3 games of 12 that he started last year and as you can tell it has totally derailed his career this year….

2026 is about drafting young players, like 2025. Not many FA's I see worth spending money on for a team like the Saints. 2027 will be the year for buy players. Only FA money I could maybe see spending is going after a TE like Otten if he makes it to FA. Might also consider Pitts but not for the 11 million per year spotrac projects for him

We should spend money on a vet guard and that’s it. You want to spend money on a tight end when we already paying JJ top 12 te money?

We need to trade down some and get as many top 100 picks as possible.

Drafting Sanker, Riley, Stutsman type players in the mid rounds and not buying expensive free agents is how u get out of this mess.
quote:

then you can push a lot of that into 2027. But that defeats the purpose of trying to clean up the cap

Lots of credit card bills still coming up due. Even with these older guys coming off the books. Loomis really made a mess. He can create room for free agents, but it’ll be more of the same extending players already on contract to lessen the blow. It’s what he’s been doing for years now.
Defense has been much better since Young has been back. Hes playing better than last year. Someone posted we’ve been close to top ten.

Staley has made a chicken sandwich after being handed chicken shite.

I’m not saying purposely tanking. I’m just saying when the season hits next year, it’s an entirely new year. What we do now won’t matter. Shough can still develop and we not win games.

All those years we win games to close out the season meant absolutely nothing the following year. The team was still bad and Allen got fired.

This isn’t the NBA. Sorry, buddy.

You wrong of course. Top picks in the nfl hold just as much value as the nba.

Look at what Carolina and the 9ers gave up to move up for qbs.

That’s how you rebuild a team quick. More draft picks. Bears had their choice of Maye, Daniels, and Williams by moving down,

What a savant you are. Big Shadeur guy, everyone knows it.

Not at all. Go look at the draft threads. His me first, look at me attitude is not someone I want leading the team. But he has talent, and was a good gamble for the 5th round. That’s all I’m saying. Ward has been struggling all year.

Ward has only had a qb rating of over 90 twice starting all season. Sanders has averaged over that number in his three starts.
quote:

Based on what?

He just outplayed the number one overall pick by a wide margin. You don’t think that’s a big deal?
I didn’t want anything to do with Sanders but I said after the draft I woulda preferred taking him in the 5th to where we took Shough at in the top 40. That’s mostly b/c this team had to many holes and needed higher top end talent.

quote:

Sanders joined Aaron Rodgers as the only quarterbacks in the 21st century with four completions of 50 or more yards in their first three career starts, according to NFL Media, after his 60-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.

Hard to argue they didn’t get great value for a 5th rounder.
quote:

There is no team in the league where you remove their 3 highest paid players, and significant depth, where that team is still winning

It’s been the same pattern for years now. It’s why it was freaking retarded to do that trade counting on a healthy squad. This franchise is a joke.

We are going to win 30+ games this year, and if we are in the lottery, it'll be out of the top 5. Losing a top 10 pick hurts. But it's not the end of the world. Very few contending teams built their teams in the high lottery. To make that the centerpiece of your plan is dumb.

Beginning of the year you said this was a playoff roster. Now you’ve slid down to we will win 30 games. It’s December and we are dead last.

Care to recalculate your projections once again?

You can tell this guy actively roots against the Saints on Sunday. Strange guy.

Correcting someone is actively rooting against the saints? You can say we are in better shape than we’ve been the last few years, mostly b/c of Carrs retirement. But look at the 2026 numbers on this link.

Several teams have over 80 million in cap space and we have 8. Instead of just taking our medicine one year, Loomis has continued to kick the can. I criticize the moves in here often b/c they have mostly been shite moves. Look at our record.

Sumrall is an idiot

Posted by Townedrunkard on 12/7/25 at 7:37 pm
I can see Lane leaving so he will have an easier path to the playoffs every year.

But Sumrall could stay at Tulane and go every year if he keeps building the program up.

Doubt Florida ever gets to the playoffs anytime soon.
You sure? We were dead last in dead money on the cap for next year until the jets had a fire sale at the trade deadline.

Now we are 2nd to last, but the jets have 100 million in cap space while we have 8 million. We still near the very bottom of the league in cap space.
quote:

Trade the 1st and whatever else to bring Garrett Wilson over here. I would like to speak that into existence.

Not happening. Jets said he was untouchable when they had their fire sale earlier.
