Oh I agree, and it’s probably the only reason they’re still alive, that and being on an island. The Mexica were bad to the bone when the Europeans arrived. Didn’t stop them from getting so fricked by disease that literally 1500 Spaniards conquered an empire numbering in the millions.

I'm a pretty good believer in God myself but I just shake my fricking head at christians who take their faith way too far and way too seriously to the point where they ignore repeated warnings about possibly losing their lives or at least suffering serious injury.
At least they're not hurting anybody like the goat fricking muzzies do.

Making laws about not interacting with them is treating them like a human ant farm. What’s the benefit to society to keep them the way they are? How many have died of simple stuff that they could have survived with common meds? I bet those folks wish they would have assimilated long ago.

I'm currently reading "My Life with the Eskimo" by Valjimur Steffanson (spelling??) It is about a doctor who traveled through Alaska and lived with the Eskimo for a couple of years in the early 1900s. The missionaries inadvertently killed off a lot of the Eskimo. One of the ways was getting them to switch from their traditional housing that could be heated with a couple of oil lamps to more modern white people frame houses. They took a lot of wood to heat and the driftwood on the beaches that took decades to accumulate was burnt in a couple of years and then the Eskimo started freezing. At least they were living clean in good Christian houses that Jesus approved of. Their culture was also really big on taboos and it got really hammered in to them that Sunday was a day of rest. They would let family freeze to death on the tundra before venturing out on a Sunday to do work finding them. They were terrified that displeasing god would end up messing with the whale hunts or something. It was inadvertent but sometimes it is better to leave well enough alone with some cultures.

A lot of people are going to disagree with me.... but why are we protecting this people? Seems like a perfectly good piece of real estate being wasted on a bunch of worthless sister fricking tribespeople. If I had millions to blow, I would bribe the Indian government, hire some mercenaries like Martin Keamy, take that damn island and then convert it into a tribal themed island resort. Hell, I might even make a reality TV show out of the whole island takeover. #money

Why don’t they just bring a barge full of fireworks to the other side of the island and set it off and then send in a seal team to extract the body?
Seems pretty easy and would be funny if the seals got to frick up some natives.
