Is Jaime’s character arc better or worse for his late return to Cersei? - gorillacoco
As much as it pains me, the end of his character arc is actually one of the more satisfying parts of the story. I think the show writers could have done a better job of getting him there this season, obviously, but the point though is he’s not a perfect character. And i think it makes his story much...

re: At this point, is GoT’s story a tragedy? Is there any other way to read it? - gorillacoco
GRRM has said many times he wants the ending to be bittersweet and tragic.
I definitely heard ‘bittersweet’ but it’s just bitter as it stands right now. New tyrant queen willing to murder everyone, no one to check her power....

At this point, is GoT’s story a tragedy? Is there any other way to read it? - gorillacoco
As a starting point, I tend to think of things from Tyrion’s point of view. And this post is based on the idea that the character arc conclusions in the tv show are mostly accurate. Tyrion seems like the best overall point of view of the whole story because of the breadth of things he’s seen. (Mayb...

We cheer at every family members graduation. I mean, we keep it under 5-6s but there’s some yelling going on for sure. Sorry for partying....

re: Refinishing Hardwood Floors... - gorillacoco
If they’re going to stain it, make sure they know what theyre doing if you won’t be there to review the work closely. Stains make imperfections in the sanding stand out like crazy, and they also are difficult to apply correctly in the first place. Looks amazing when it’s done right though....

re: Looking for a spray to rid patio of mosquitoes - gorillacoco
Eliminating standing water in your immediate vicinity, and clearing out debris and excess foliage will go a long way. This means gutters, old gardening pots, buckets, trash cans that accumulate water, standing water under raised houses, everything. It made a huge difference at my old house when I co...

re: New Russian poll shows record highs in Stalin approval - gorillacoco
A record 70 percent of Russians approve of Soviet leader Josef Stalin’s role in Russian history,
Jokes on them I guess? :dunno: Stalin threw away Russian lives like they were dirt. Literally millions died so he could support his own oligarchy, so the chosen few at the top could li...

re: Green underwater light from dock - worth it? - gorillacoco
Be careful with electrical installations on your docks, fellas. If you have 120V that somehow contacts the water you can kill anyone who decides to go in for a swim. The voltage might not kill them outright but it’ll freeze them long enough for the water to. GFCIs can save a life. [link=(https://...
Que
Cue. I agree with your post tho. People spend too much time comparing themselves w others. It can be good motivation in the right context but as a way of living it is not a recipe for happiness. ...

I’d have turned that thing loose when it got to the edge of the yard, unless I knew there were other people in the line of fire. Seems like he could have been mangled pretty bad if that thing had taken a wrong turn....

re: Those of you who are done with having children - gorillacoco
My dad was miserable with 4 kids in a 3BR house? Why? It's not like we slept in my parents' bedroom.
I really will never understand why so many people think they ‘need’ as much space as they do. The houses built in the 50s and 60s (arguably the most prosperous time in American...

re: Guy tries to land on insane go-kart ramps - gorillacoco
Someone compiled just the jumps from his YouTube page. He gets requests from people to come to his place in Canada and do a jump on his souped up lawnmowers, so most of those videos are different people. Go look him up on YouTube, he’s hilarious. 1puglife or something like that is his handle. You...

I don’t think he’s planning on running the traps on dry land. I’d just hide them well. If someone really messes with your stuff or threatens you because you’re on ‘their’ spot, and it’s public land, you are fully within your rights to go make a post on LA sportsman advertising the exact locati...
