Got any recommendations on where to hang a feeder? I have two in the yard since early March and haven’t seen a single hummingbird on them. Seen a few around the house though just not at the feeders....

re: This virus was perfectly designed for a pandemic. - gorillacoco
They can’t sustain their population growth. They need a more deadly virus for that.
Actually they are having the opposite problem because they created a culture of one child with their one child policy and now that they’ve cancelled it everyone is used to only having one kid per fa...

Places to buy bricks in the BR area besides Lowe’s/HD - gorillacoco
I’m looking for some places to shop for bricks for a patio, so kiln fired, less porous bricks are what I’m looking for. The stuff at HD and Lowe’s is fine but I wanted to see other options before I start buying....
The article says the data transfer is instantaneous no matter the distance between the objects. re: Does Scottie Pippen get the respect he deserves? - gorillacoco
When Jordan came back in the 94-95 year he was rusty
This to me is a huge misconception. The bulls lost in 94-95 because they didn’t have a 4 more than because Jordan was rusty. They had lost Grant at the end of 93-94 and Rodman wouldn’t be added to the roster until the following y...

re: Seatbelt Laws, $180 fines & Government Overreach - gorillacoco
You will find thousands of inconsistencies in the law if you look for them.
This is a legit point. I agree with you in general but I don’t agree that it is appropriate in this instance, because the data strongly suggests that lower speed limits affect driver and rider safety more t...

re: Seatbelt Laws, $180 fines & Government Overreach - gorillacoco
You are missing 1/2 of the data from of those accidents. Are the motorcyclist fatalities hit by a car? Because it is the car that is unsafe in that equation. It is the car causing the physical damage. I can tell now that you don't understand basic causal effects.
My definiti...

re: Seatbelt Laws, $180 fines & Government Overreach - gorillacoco
My previous response above corrects your comprehension of relativity (bikes are safer than cars). The proof is for profit insurance companies.
So what you are saying is that bikes are safer than cars because they cause less damage payable by insurance companies. If that’s how you ...

re: Seatbelt Laws, $180 fines & Government Overreach - gorillacoco
what makes driving a car less safe than a motorcycle in that it costs substantially more to insure?
Since you’re asking, I would imagine that it’s because motorcycles are a lot cheaper than cars and cause less collateral damage. I really don’t know though.
what are safe b...

re: Seatbelt Laws, $180 fines & Government Overreach - gorillacoco
And? This is a poor attempt at a gotcha. Motorcycles are dangerous yes. They have laws that apply to them like the helmet laws that some riders bitch about. You can either comply with the seatbelt and helmet laws or you don't and if you get ticketed it's on you.
Oh I agree if you ...

re: Seatbelt Laws, $180 fines & Government Overreach - gorillacoco
But your kneejerk reaction to a law requiring seat belt use (which is the process of safe driving along with checking your mirrors, using blinkers, etc ...) should equate to a law removing safe motorcyclists from the roads.
So if I understand, you consider wearing a seatbelt to be...

re: Seatbelt Laws, $180 fines & Government Overreach - gorillacoco
The act of driving/riding itself can be safe or unsafe in either. There is an equivalency to the driver/rider in both situations which spoils your point. Good drivers/riders should be welcome on roads.
I’m not sure I follow you here. I’m just saying that the laws should be consi...
It's a seatbelt fine, suck it up for being a dumbass and being treated like a dumbass. Trying to pretend its some sorta rights overreach is asinine.
Would you support a law banning the use of motorcycles because they are demonstrably less safe than cars?...

re: Seatbelt Laws, $180 fines & Government Overreach - gorillacoco
It’s extreme to point out the inconsistency that we’ve approved a law for safety, while allowing other less safe driving behaviors? I mean that doesn’t make any sense at all. Why would you support the one and not the other? It’s not extreme to suggest that riding a motorcycle is more dangerous than ...
