The less public transportation the better. Criminals that can't afford cars use public transportation to rob nicer neighborhoods

I’m guessing at least a couple million was flushed down the drain on this boondoggle

Well duh. We can't have anything that doesn't service the good people of North Batin Rewage. That tram wasn't "Together BR" enough.

I knew damn well BR had no desire for a vibrant downtown or a way to connect LSU to Downtown and make it a viable community worth investing in. This place is so far behind the eight ball it’s ridiculous. Small town, small minds, water is wet.

They never proved there was a real demand.
There was no funding mechanism on the local side.

I think it would have been kind of neat but honestly this city has far bigger priorities.

I agree, but this Downtown LSU deal actually had a chance to happen and would have been good for the city. All of the other theoretical things haven't been officially discussed so it's a little different, imo.

What about all that money we waste on CATS? They should re-purpose those stupid trolleys to be the LSU-Downtown connection. It certainly wouldn't require the $75 million they estimated.

I was not in favor of the tram but your statement holds true for damn near everything in the metro region.

Eh, once that corridor gets developed, this might be an option again. Of course, we'll have to do 5 more rounds of multimillion dollar studies.

So having a Tram between LSU and Downtown is a deal breaker?
I don't think so.

Truth. I love the NYC subway but it’s the reason homeless bums are in areas of the city they have no business being in and cause problems.
