Agreed. In relative terms, this was worse than Sept 11 — both in number killed as well as the rape, mutilation, and torture they committed before murdering them. It’s hard to believe how sick and sadistic these MFers are....
Well, or if the number or sex of the subject is unknown. That's the singular they.
This is true in the sense that it has been used in common language this way for many years. But, technically it is not proper English, just like the misuse of they/them....
The Republican Party has one seat majority

You could stick the most conservative person in America in that seat and similar things would happen to them.
This has to be the case. I’ve met Speaker Johnson a number of times (including before he was even considered for t...

When you say “won’t turn over”, do you mean nothing happens when you turn the key? Or, that it spins, but won’t start?...
re: Who Are The Real Losers In The DeSantis/Disney Showdown?

That’s a long article of context but never outline what was agreed to in the settlement. Journalism sucks these days....
re: How do you think they compromised Mike Johnson?
Posted by SlackMaster on 3/26/24 at 1:40 pm
It’s easy to spout an opinion when you aren’t responsible for any outcomes. Leadership requires compromise…and with a narrow majority requires more compromise.
This, especially when half of your own team has beliefs counter to your own. It’s nearly an impossible situation....
re: The EBR signal synchronization saga Updated 3/6/24.. we made it!
I could do all that before synchronization. If all this technology doesn’t speed up traffic then why do it?
Exactly. My comment was meant to be sarcastic....

Well, this may be somewhat true. I predict that I'll catch every light red but maybe one when I drive down Stanford/Acadian....

How can this possibly be true? I drive Stanford/Acadian every day and the only possible thing I can imagine is that they implement...

This. You are already paying for a spam filter with 365. Might as well configure and use it....

re: This WSJ Article Aged Well: “Fani Willis, The No Nonsense Prosecutor”

As the division between the GOPe leadership and the people have become more evident and the GOPe more obstinate (never trumpers, pro-illegal immigration, pro-Ukraine funding, etc.), so has the WSJ. It ...
So why is the extra step between the people and the Senator at all necessary or desirable?
This is a great question. Unfortunately, the reason isn't a one-sentence answer. It's all around the founding fathers' goals of government being accountable to the people.
First, some back...
