Get a mesh system, the wireless router they give you is arse. Has nothing to do with fiber.
This 100%. NetGear has some good (and easy) mesh options.

I agree this is what they do, but it doesn't mean I have to like it. I also think it discredits them in the long run as viewers quit paying attention to his posts due to too much BS around them. Which is a shame, since he's done some good exposés.

I bet he's delivered more than any journalist in the history of this country.

I don't entirely disagree with you here. But why the addiction to promising something HUGE tomorrow? Why not just drop the huge revelation now? And why is the revelation, once made public, usually not as big as they made it out to be?
It's a necessity in some sandy bottom situations, like at Wax Lake. You use reverse to dig a five-foot trench so the prop has enough water to get on plane.

ETA: This is true for a GatorTail or MudBuddy surface drive. Not a sure with respect to a ProDrive with their full-power reverse design.

Problem is, Article 5 has only been invoked once -- following the Sept 11 attack. Kinda like winning the first pot in poker and leaving with the money.

If we're going with a poker analogy, would you agree it's fair to quit the game if you're the only one paying the ante?

This is spot on. Who would have thought??
Lol. Free beer tomorrow.

absolutely nothing is happening about any of that.
This. Wake me when someone goes to jail or pays any sort of price, for that matter.

this quest for globalism is caused by the simple fact that many public traded corporations are multi-national in their scope and ownership. Very few companies today have a sense of commitment to their local community, much less to their nation.
. This is what many people do not see. And these corporations (their leadership, their large shareholders and our 401k fiduciaries) fund the campaigns of Congress -- including the GOPe. It's the primary reason people like Thune, McConnell, Paul Ryan, Boener exist and why we can't pass obviously good laws such as the SAVE act. We desperately need to repeal the 17th amendment.

. Yep. I noticed the same thing and quit buying it.

Senators already advocate for their state under the current system
. Do they? Seems to me that they represent those that got them elected -- mostly the wealthier people in cities. If they represented the interests of the states themselves, there's no way Congress would allow the federal government usurp control over so many things or to allow it to get so big and out of control.
This absolutely needs to happen. It would be the most impactful legislation in over a century and would re-establish a key accountability on the federal government.

Seeing the large portion of my property taxes that go directly to the line reading CATS pisses me the frick off every year I see it

This. Especially because they carved out the non incorporated areas like St. George and increased our portion to gerrymander a win. And we had every leading community group like BRAC supporting it despite all knowing the key players were corrupt.

If our deadbeat Congress would pass a balanced budget amendment it would go a long ways towards reversing the financial and fiscal calamity that awaits the US.

Hell, at this point I'd settle for them passing ANY budget instead of continuing resolutions. This would be a good start.
As much as I hate it, someone like Mike (traditionally conservative, but too consensus-oriented to really lead) is probably the best we could hope for. The more aggressive change-maker would never get the GOPe votes to win. I was just glad we didn't get another sell-out.

Unfortunately, the change we're looking for won't happen quickly. Our only hope is that we somehow sustain the movement to root out waste & corruption well past the Trump presidency.

Likely the homeowners put up a stink about that.
No. The homeowners wanted the project more than anyone. But, it (and much of the budget) was hijacked by other interests and they give only lip service to even the most reasonable feedback or input from homeowners. They have their plan made by “experts” and are sticking to it — even if it changes on a monthly basis.

We received several Christmas cards today and each of them had been opened. My daughter thinks someone was looking for cash...

This. Forget expansion — contraction should be the topic of discussion.
