Yeah, I think Mitt Romney's family was involved in setting up Mormon communities in Mexico in the late 19th century.
And here I thought that was just an Arrested Development joke. "The more you know"

This really isnt the place for that debate - I will point out that we currently interfere with mother nature culling people from the gene pool in a very wide range of instances.
Should we let her do what she does best in the full spectrum or pick and choose who you think is worthy of help?

I’ve probably read a dozen books about the Mormons, FDLS, etc. All of them mention the sizable American population living in Mexico. Including many living there to avoid US enforcement of polygamy laws. They have been there for 100 years . It’s common knowledge. There are also cities throughout Mexico that are largely expat where people ( like my Dad ) own property. It is inevitable that as Mexico continues to spiral that more Americans die this way. It’s a beautiful country. But a cultural criminal enterprise shithole awash in the blood of innocents.

What should happen is the US should drop 10 - 15 Daisy Cutters on this whole town and kill everything that walks or crawls. And every time an American is killed in Mexico the town or village where they were killed should be leveled,

It may come out that this family was involved in drug or human trafficking and they were targeted for some reason.
I'm not buying that they were targeted by mistake.

It might be time we took ownership of at least parts of Mexico that border the US, and bring some level of law and order there.

David Ortiz was nearly killed by a Sicario who mistook him for someone else. These cartel members are of low intelligence and run around high on their own supply. Shite like this happens

U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted: “A wonderful family and friends from Utah got caught between two vicious drug cartels, who were shooting at each other, with the result being many great American people killed, including young children, and some missing. If Mexico needs or requests help in cleaning out these monsters, the United States stands ready, willing & able to get involved and do the job quickly and effectively.
If this is even possible, it may be in the best interest of both nations to do this.

They were. Vice did a pretty good documentary on the Mormon enclaves there a few years ago. wild stuff.
I’ve seen the doc. I don’t care how many generations my family had been there, or how well I thought I was armed, I would’ve GTFO a long time ago.
Irresponsible on the part of the families, and now innocent people are dead.
That the cartels are in the wrong and/or shouldn’t be allowed to operate there doesn’t matter...they’re there and doing what they do.

Not even close. Did you read the article? Many of these Mormon colonies migrated to areas inside Mexico along the border to escape perceived, U.S. persecution of polygamy laws in Utah.
The illegals you’re making reference to, come to the U.S., work and contribute to the GDP. Can’t say the same thing about the welfare queenz and kangz living off taxpayer money.
