Well thats weird didnt even make front page of yahoo.Wonder why? All it mentioned was border patrol agent killing an illegal and how the donald is ready to wage war on mexican cartels. Must not be news if the democrats dont feel it fits their agenda.

David ortiz was shot in a bar in the Dominican republic. That's a far cry from killing mass quantities of seemingly wholesome american men, women and children.
The cartels might, from time to time kill the errant american but they're not gonna kill entire American families by mistake. I don't think this was an "oops" moment. I think they were killed for what the cartel considers a pretty good reason.
They're not inviting this sort of international scrutiny over nothing.
Killing a shitload of Americans isn't like killing a shitload of dirt poor Mexicans. No one care about them.
I think these mormons were involved in some shite and they got killed over it. If so, it'll come out. It always does.

No, I think the Mormons likely own a huge swath of land and protect it vigorously and the drug cartels either want access or they otherwise wanted to send a statement to the Mormons. I'm not saying this is the case here, but it wouldn't be the first time Mormons, Catholic Church, or another religion fought with the locals.
For all we know, the local drug cartel leader was Catholic and didn't believe in the Mormons polygamy.
I just don't think you ride 3 suburbans deep with nothing but women and children. There's a reason they did that and its more likely than not the Mormons were shooting back.

It was founded by Americans and is mostly populated by American and its in the borderlands. Probably as many Americans as any town just north of the border.

Were they really Americans? Sounds more like they were Mexicans with dual citizenship to American to me. I'll allow they were Americans, but they were choosing to live and work in Mexico with Mexican citizenship in the least.
I also wouldn't doubt the cartel thought these were just Mexicans and didn't think it would cause a stink in the USA.

Are you really surprised by this? This is not uncommon in the drug wars of Mexico or other places in central and south america. They are brutal to each other.
