So you want to go to war with Mexico? What we need to do is if you are American, maybe not go to Mexico and build a damn wall.

A wall is only PART of the solution. We need to eradicate the cartels.

LOL

Only way to do that is to legalize drugs. Until then, there will always be new cartels.

Mexican cartels have learned from the radical Islamic terrorist that in general Americans do not have the stomach for violence against themselves. Politicians and the general public cower when things like this happen and resolve to bargaining for peace or just pretending we are all friends and maybe the bad stuff will stop. In realities the only thing these animals respect and understand is equal or greater violence. In these cases it makes you/us weaker to take the high road. What should happen is the US should drop 10 - 15 Daisy Cutters on this whole town and kill everything that walks or crawls.
quote:

And every time an American is killed in Mexico the town or village where they were killed should be leveled, and/or known cartel strongholds. Yea, we can't go bombing another country and all. Well, the Mexican government has proven over the last decade to be either A) Inept in controlling this violence that is spreading across out boarders AND B) Complicit in allowing it to continue and flourish. And besides, I bet if you look hard enough you'll find oil in Mexico and that's been reason enough for the US to bomb the shite out of places in the past.

yep and every time a foreign citizen is killed in an American town it should be bombed to rubble as well, that will fix it.

For those that don't know some of their family are residents of Denham Springs and are great people.
There is a gofundme set up to donate to these families to help with funeral and medical costs.

How did people get buried before GoFundMe? Its honestly mind blowing how people die and the relatives get a GoFundMe up and running before the body even cools down

This is truly a punch to the stomach. I have always said that Mexico might as well be placed next to Sudan or Libya. fricking corrupt and inept country which overshadows so much beauty.

No, I think the Mormons likely own a huge swath of land and protect it vigorously and the drug cartels either want access or they otherwise wanted to send a statement to the Mormons. I'm not saying this is the case here, but it wouldn't be the first time Mormons, Catholic Church, or another religion fought with the locals.

For all we know, the local drug cartel leader was Catholic and didn't believe in the Mormons polygamy.

I just don't think you ride 3 suburbans deep with nothing but women and children. There's a reason they did that and its more likely than not the Mormons were shooting back.
That family has spoken out and protested against the cartels. They've tried to influence the government to do something.

The cartels don't like it.

So they have been harassing them for years and even kidnapped and killed some of them previously.

Here is an article from a decade ago about two Mormons from this same family killed by the cartel in Mexico:

https://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/article/Two-Americans-in-Mormon-sect-slain-in-Mexico-1723228.php

quote:

A top member of a breakaway Mormon sect was dragged from his home by marauders and killed early Tuesday in a village founded and named for the American families that settled the remote community in the northern Mexican desert.

Benjamin LeBaron, 31, and Luis Widmar, 29, a brother-in-law who tried to help him, were grabbed by at least 15 commandos shortly after midnight in Colonia LeBaron, which is about 200 miles southeast of El Paso, witnesses said.

The bodies of the men, both naturalized U.S. citizens with five children each, were found nearby shortly afterward, each shot several times in the head, Brent LeBaron, a cousin of Benjamin who lives in the village, said by telephone.

The attackers struck his cousin’s house as the family slept trying to knock down the front door and smashing its windows, Brent LeBaron said. A panicked Benjamin LeBaron phoned two brothers-in-law for help.

But after the attackers threatened to throw a grenade into the house, LeBaron opened the door.

The gangsters beat Le-Baron and one threatened to rape his wife in front of their children before carrying their victims away, Brent LeBaron said.

As the commandos left they fired assault rifles at the second brother-in-law, who was wounded with shrapnel in the back.

Benjamin LeBaron and other village leaders had led hundreds of people in May to Chihuahua City to demand government action in the abduction of Eric LeBaron, Benjamin’s 16-year-old brother. The kidnappers were demanding $1 million in ransom, but the LeBaron community had decided to instead pressure for the boys’s release, which occurred in mid-May.

“We’re fighting as a community,” Brent LeBaron said. “Standing up against extortionists and kidnappers. But we have never done anything against the drug lords. We stay away from the drug war because we know it’s a battle that we can’t win.”

A placard left with the bodies said the killings were in retribution for the June arrests by federal forces of 25 men in a distant village accused of running narcotics.

“These guys blame our protest for pressuring the government to act and do something,” said Clary Jones, who helped organize the protest to free Benjamin’s brother, Eric, in May and who is directly mentioned in the warning left with the men’s bodies. “It’s a message from them.”

I'm not endorsing the guy proposing the whole carpet-bombing town policy, but there is a bit of a difference between run of the mill intercity American murder and executing a truckload of children.

I'm curious to see if the Labarons and Romneys strike back. I understand it was a case of mistaken identity, but the Mormons over there are pretty hardcore and believe in blood for blood.

Trump talks tough but Is a pussy. We should have already sent in hundreds of cruise missle attacks and drone strikes. What’s Mexico going to do about it nothing. Then shut the border down until the heads of the culprits are provided. The Romans would start at 10 killed per one Roman first time then 100 then 1000 etc, sooner or later the locals got the message or were killed. You make it too costly to kill Americans.

It might be time we took ownership of at least parts of Mexico that border the US, and bring some level of law

All that does is move the border south. It wouldn't actually fix anything.

Want to stop the violence in Mexico? End the farce of the war on drugs.

big difference in these scenarios.

The US is a super power and no one will bomb us without being leveled in return.

mexico has no military (basically) and no control of their people. IF the US did start bombing the shite out of them in retaliation of it's own citizens being murdered, the mexican govt might try and do something about their own problems. the mexican govt, however, is a puppet for the cartels. unfortunately. mexico is 3rd world

but but but, with the help of the US, these cartels could be destoyed. win win for both countries.

my Christian beliefs goes against this tactic, but damn. we have to do something since our own borders have been comprinised
