He probably lives right next to it. There is a boat launch but it’s only for residents.
They obviously used the public boat launch and settled here to do some fishing or what have you.
No idea how the fracas started but they both seemed to be agitating by the time the camera started.
That said, having to deal with other people is one of the problems with owning waterfront property. He should have just called the cops if they were trespassing (Massachusetts property laws denote the owner's property ends at the low-water mark for waterfront property) and left it at that.

Kinda feel for the old guy here. What a dumb decision.

That’s not a “punk”
That’s a whiney entitled bitch.
The kids had the right to be there as it's a public launch for the neighborhood. The guy didn't like that they were there, even though he had no right to tell them to leave.
If I'm doing something that is in my right and someone tells me that I can't do what I have the right to do, I would not be very respectful either.
The old man had already been arrested numerous times according to the video, so its not like he's known to make good decisions.

I enjoyed watching the mouthy hobbit get slapped around.

Oh I’m not saying the older guy was blameless. They BOTH escalated at every step. Only one was playing the victim card after though.
Which one? The one who was grabbed by the neck by a dude twice his size and held under water until bystanders had to step in and stop it?
That one?

[quote]the kid was dealing with multiple injuries from an accident a few months prior[/quote
On the water, without a lifejacket, driving high speeds on a jet ski, just don’t seem like the right things to do when you’re dealing with multiple injuries.

A friend of mine is a deputy, and got called once to a lake where the dude who owned the property around it tried to run off some kayaking with a shotgun. It's bisected by a creek, so that made it public water.

Not sure on the attempted murder charge
this is wild
We can (and I know a jury will too) assume that if others were not around, this man would have killed this kid by drowning him.

The boat ramp is the greatest clown show on Earth.

Young man seemed to be able to walk out of the water without crutches. Young man FAFO trying to mouth off to an older man.

Kid needs some new friends.

From an article
quote:
Upon questioning Duffy, Buentello learned that Duffy had been badly injured in a motorcycle accident a few months prior. Duffy stated that he was deemed disabled after he had been “declared medically dead” but was revived. He sustained multiple fractures to his spine, neck and skull at that time.

According to a report on WCVB-TV, “[P]rosecutors said Dana has an extensive criminal history going back to the 1990s where he used aliases.”

If he has a wife, he's probably been ruining her life for quite a while.
This is her chance to be rid of him.

Yeah. On one hand, my pure guess is that he would have stopped before the kid drowned if nobody else was there. But I can't say for sure. And I'm not sure he can avoid the charge on a contingency like that given the video doesn't look like he had plans to stop.
He struck the kid first.
He then drags a kid with a broken leg into the water and forces his head under water.
Those are objective facts.
It looks like attempted murder to me.

Nah frick all that nonsense. People like you and me are 100% Generation X. Same childhood as the technical Generation X. Latchkey kids, corded landlines, pay phones, no cell phones, etc.
