I agree. Every In-N-Out I've eaten at has been good. Good food, service and clean. There's many Whataburger's that are trash. The one in Ruston is horrible.

Whataburger is super hit or miss. The one in BR was fine one day, and absolute trash the next. Chik-fil-a always has a pretty good baseline, whataburger does not

Patty Melt.

I don't trust anyone who thinks an In n Out burger is better than a Whataburger patty melt. Just don't trust em!

Animal Fries FTW.

Pass on those. Fries aren't awful but have to eat them while hot. Burger is excellent and the shakes are. Usually get a number 1 so double double animal style with chocolate shake. I go when I drive thru Katy or Austin.

If I'm eating a fast food burger, I'll take a hot whopper over all. The tricky part is finding a hot whopper...

In N Out is second tier and always has been shite.

Worst fries of any chain.

I haven't tried In-N-Out yet, but hey, different strokes for different folks. No two people are going to agree on their favorite burger joints.
For example, here in Houston, I go to Fudruckers, Hat Creek, Smash Burger, Burger IM and Freddy's, when I am not going to Burger King, Whataburger or Dairy Queen. So many choices and each with something a little different...

Not going to argue they're the best tasting fries but for what they are, which is very fresh and lightly fried and salted, I like them.

I agree, the key difference is they are not double fried. To me they taste more like fresh potatoes than any other fires which a lot of people don't like. There are a ton of ways to hack their fries and if you watch people in an In N Out especially in CA you see all types of creative ways to eat them.

I personally prefer the In-N-Out burgers (animal style) to Whataburger but I think the ones on the West Coast particularly in SoCal are better than the ones in other states. The differences are subtle but I always notice. I could get Whatabuger anytime and have eaten there maybe 3 times in the last decade, I eat In-N-Out every time I am in California which is 4-5 times a year, even when I have to suffer through the ridiculously long weekend lines.

It is for people who have not discovered taste and are conditioned to settle for shite burgers.

Believe me, people who would say a whataburger cheeseburger is better than an in-n-out cheeseburger are straight lying to themselves out of pride, and/or screwed up tastebuds.

Whataburger shits on In-N-Out.

Fries are better, spicy ketchup to boot. 100% real beef. Get something different each trip. Hatch Green Chili Burger was badass. My favorite is the Avocado Bacon Burger...it never disappoints. They’re constantly producing something new for the menu.

Whataburger>in-n-out imo.

They have a wider range of choices and damn their burgers are dope... IF the location has good employees etc.

Had In-N-Out twice. Did the animal style thing and it just was not good.

Sweet N spicy Bacon burger is my go to and it never disappoints.

Chop house cheddar burger is the only thing I really like from whataburger. Wish it wasn't a seasonal thing.

Patty melt is good but I don't ever crave it. Same with the sweet and spicy bacon burger.

I've never had In-N-Out. Have heard it's overrated like five guys. But I don't do a lot of fast food these days anyways.

Well that isn't exactly a testament to In-N-Out. Of course if you only get the chance to eat there the 4-5 times a year that you are in Cali you will eat there. I do the same thing with rallys every time I go to Louisiana since there aren't any close to me in Houston.

I don’t give a shite about fries. I judge fast food places like this by their burgers.

Whataburger beats the hell out of In and Out, and it honestly ain’t close for me. Monterey Melt and Sweet & Spicy Bacon are worlds better than anything In & Out serves.
