Are people that think Whataburger is better than In-N-Out actually serious?

Because I think they are being "tongue in cheek" or have some kind of Texas pride thing.

Yes, Whataburger is a top tier fast food burger restaurant. But it's not In-N-Out, which is one of the best things to come out of California in a while.

Animal Fries FTW.

If you adore Whataburger, tell me your go-to meal there. Because I'm clearly ordering the wrong thing.

In-N-0ut fries are the worst fries of any fast food joint I have ever come across. Taste like eating freezer burnt air crisps

Looks good in the pictures. I typically just order the cheesburger.

I like the spicy ketchup at Whataburger.

But I prefer the whole meal at In-N-Out.

In-N-Out may be the literal most overrated thing I've ever had.

Both are slightly above average when it comes to fast food

I judge this solely on one mediocre as frick In-N-Out experience about 2 years ago.

Animal Style makes it work well. And their burgers and shakes are awesome.

My big complaint is the lines at the restaurant. And their slow expansion. I think CC's coffee is more aggressive about expanding into new markets, and they don't really do that at all.

SHAKE SHACK IS OVERRATED.

I can't argue with that. It's not a bad restaurant by any stretch, but it's expensive for what it provides.

I prefer their food to In N Out though but yea, not a fan of a minimum $12 tab for basically fast food, even if it is good

I tried In-n-out in Phoenix and it just wasn't very good. I get that it's cheap, like Whataburger, but it didn't taste any better. Whataburger also has better toppings for its burgers and better tasting patties, so I don't understand why people are so shocked that some find it better than In-N-Out.

Yep. You can go to Desi Burger, or other local "gourmet" burger places and get the same tab
