There is a whataburger next door to me.
Maybe eaten there twice. What should I be ordering that is so good?
Just got basic cheeseburger and fries. It was good but didn’t see the hype.
Their Dr Pepper shake was interesting

In-N-Out is the most overrated chain ever. Sure, the food is fine, but you'd have to be brain damaged to go out of your way for it.

There is a CookOut about a mile from my office.
It's a 3 hour drive to the nearest Whataburger.
It's a 13 hour drive to the nearest In-N-Out.

They don't build enough new locations. They'd be the final nail in the coffin for Burger King if they would expand.
But IMO Whataburger is on par with some of the better Wendy's (some of the Wendy's locations really suck).
Arguing that Whataburger is better than In-N-Out is like claiming Zaxby's is better than Chick Fil A or Canes. It just isn't so.

Burger King is far superior to In-N-Out.
The Bacon King is probably better than anything at Whataburger as well.
At least at the BK by my house.

In and Out is TRASH! I have lived in Dallas for 8 years now and have an In and Out less than a block from my office. I DONT GET IT! What is so mind blowing about this place? Its a basic griddle burger and crappy fries. The ONLY thing they have that's unique is the animal sauce, and that's not enough to sway me away from other burger places.
Now Whataburger, that's a quality fast food burger right there. Toasted buttered bun, thin, hundreds of different specialty burgers they cycle through. The fries are 100x better than In and Out. Plus they have breakfast (also legit) and open 24 hours, so drunken midnight adventures have no time limit on them.
Go to burgers for me are the basic burger add jalapenos, the patty melt add grilled jalapenos, and (sadly not available right now) the Chophouse ceddar burger.

While I'm not blown away by Whataburger like some people in the Deep South are, I do find their burgers to be better than In-N-Out.

Their fries are awful, but not as bad if you get them "well done" they cook them longer and they don't taste as much like playdoh.
Whataburger is good. Patty melt with grilled onions, grilled tomato and bacon.
Broke my heart when Del Taco pulled out of Dallas. Best import from the land of fruits and nuts(CA not Aggieland)
